The George And Carol Olmsted Foundation
Since 1959, the Olmsted Scholar Program has shaped future leaders for service at the highest levels of the American military and beyond. The Olmsted Experience challenges top-performing, career-minded junior officers to gain a broader understanding of the world and develop a strategic perspective on international relations. The three-year program provides the opportunity to master a foreign language, pursue privately-funded graduate studies abroad, and be exposed to a wide variety of perspectives, all while continuing to serve on active duty in the military. In this way, the Olmsted Scholar Program promotes American leadership around the world and advances the interests of the United States. The value of the program is abundantly clear: Olmsted Scholars have commanded at all echelons of the Armed Forces to include at the Combatant Command level. In fact, Olmsted Scholars are selected for senior leadership at significantly higher rates than Service norms or other graduate education programs.

Big Sky Bravery
Big Sky Bravery & The Big Sky Bravery Ranch Active-duty Special Operations Forces (SOF) make up just 3% of the U.S. Armed Forces, yet have endured more than half of all combat casualties in recent years. Founded in 2015, Big Sky Bravery fills a critical gap by serving these warriors while they are still in the fight. Our all-expense-paid Task Force programs in Montana give SOF members the rare chance to decompress, reclaim what war has taken, and reconnect with the freedom they protect. Knowing sacrifice extends beyond the battlefield, we’ve expanded our mission to include SOF spouses, families, and a lifelong alumni program—restoring hearts, strengthening homes, and providing continued support to those who give everything. In 2024, we entered the first phase of our capital campaign and secured 85 pristine acres in Big Sky, Montana—generously gifted by The Wayne & Nan Kocourek Foundation. Free from covenants and designed with privacy in mind, this land will become the Big Sky Bravery Ranch: a restorative sanctuary created specifically for the SOF community. Working with a world-renowned site design team, every structure is intentionally placed to maximize views, protect tranquility, and blend into the landscape. Motorized recreation is kept separate to ensure peace, while hiking and walking trails weave throughout the property. The Ranch will include a main lodge, family cabin, alumni cabin, caretaker quarters, a recreation barn, and extensive trails. More than buildings, these spaces will serve as a permanent refuge for warriors and their families—a place they can always come home to. Learn more at:

Georgia Army National Guard - Alpha 3
Civilian in Peace, Soldier in War.of security and honor for three centuries I have been the custodian.I am the Guard! At Concord's bridge, I fired the fateful shot heard 'round the world. I bled on Bunker Hill. My footprints marked the snows at Valley Forge. With Washington on the heights of Yorktown, I saw the sword surrendered. I am the Guard. These things I know - I was there! I saw both sides of the War Between the States - I was there! The hill at San Juan felt the fury of my charge; the far plains and mountains of the Philippines echoed to my shout. In France the dark forests of the Argonne blazed with my barrage; Chateau-Thierry crumbled to my cannonade. I am the Guard. I bowed briefly on the grim road at Bataan. Through the jungles and on the beaches I fought the enemy. beat, battered, and broke him. I scrambled over Normandy's beaches - I was there! I flew MiG Alley to the Yalu - I am the Guard! I fought in the skies above Vietnam - I was there! In the skies and on the ground, I made the Arabian desert feel the fury of the storm. I am the Guard! Civilian in peace, soldier in war. the stricken have known the comfort of my skill. I have faced forward to the tornado, the typhoon, and the horror of the hurricane and the flood. I saw the tall towers fall - I was there! I am the Guard. For three centuries the custodian of security and honor, now and forever. I am the Guard.

Recently G&B has developed a sophisticated LQDC System (Liquid Quick Disconnect) that is ideally suited to US Army requirements for Soldier Cooling in mobile operations. The LQDC (FLO-LOK™) is in full scale production supporting a long term US Army contract. FLO-LOK™ connectors are assembled from Injection Molded, CNC Machined and Rubber Compounded parts. Each connector is calibrated and tested to a strict protocol and data is electronically recorded for quality audit purposes. G&B is also currently developing a next generation LCG (Liquid Cooling Garment) for the US Military. Adding a flexible heat exchanger to a garment is a simple concept, however, creating a robust, efficient cooling garment that meets strict military performance and endurance specifications is challenging and complicated. The development contract has potential to produce several innovative ideas (IP) that may require patent protection.
