Stedelijk Conservatorium Voor Muziek, Woord & Dans Mechelen
Het Stedelijk Conservatorium Mechelen biedt kinderen vanaf 6 jaar, jongeren en volwassenen een grote keuze aan artistieke opleidingen binnen de domeinen muziek, woord en dans. De actieve beoefening van de podiumkunsten staat er centraal. Maar een conservatorium is meer dan enkel het louter beoefenen van diverse kunstdisciplines. Het is onze betrachting van de leerlingen gepassioneerde kunst- en cultuurparticipanten te maken. Het bijbrengen van techniek en vaardigheden is belangrijk, maar kan geen finaliteit op zich zijn. De beleving en ontdekking van de podiumkunsten, het stimuleren van ieders artistieke creativiteit als sleutel tot zelfontplooiing zijn minstens zo belangrijk. Hierbij sluiten we elke vorm van elitarisme uit, wanneer men hieronder begrijpt dat slechts enkel de begaafden een kans krijgen. De opleiding van goede amateurs, bezielde en geëngageerde verenigingsleden, en alle geïnteresseerden wordt net zo zeer ter harte genomen als de opleiding van professionelen in spe. Hierbij houden we de drempel bewust laag maar leggen we de lat zo hoog mogelijk. Het Conservatorium verzorgt haar kunstopleidingen met een groot respect voor traditie. Aanvullend hierop worden onze studenten geconfronteerd met actuele interdisciplinaire kunstvormen en uitvoeringspraktijken. Interpretatie, gestoeld op inzicht, stijlkennis en persoonlijkheid, sluit echter ontdekking, verwondering en experiment niet uit. Voor onze studenten staat een sterk en gemotiveerd professioneel team van gedreven leerkrachten-kunstenaars klaar om hun passie voor de podiumkunsten met hen te delen. Want is het niet zo dat een leerling slechts gepassioneerd raakt als zijn leraar in vuur en vlam staat? Een warm nest waar leerlingen zich voor 200% thuis voelen om het beste van hun artistieke zijn naar boven te halen: daar staan we voor en daar gaan we voor!

The Finnish Cultural Institute For The Benelux
As part of Finland’s international framework for artistic, academic, and cultural exchange and export, the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux builds bridges between cultural practitioners and institutions in Finland and the Benelux region. We foster new creative collaboration and topical international initiatives. The Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux was founded in 1993. Based in Antwerp for 13 years, it was relocated to the Sablon district of Brussels in 2006. It is maintained by the Finnish Cultural Institute in the Benelux Trust and supported by The Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland. We are a member of The Finnish Cultural and Academic Institutes (SKTI), a Helsinki-based association, with 17 Finnish cultural and academic institutes around the world. The institute collaborates with other Finnish organisations in the Team Finland network and with other European cultural institutes in the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network. The Institute held the presidency of the EUNIC Brussels cluster for 2021–2022.
