Foreign Trade Bank Of Cambodia
Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia (FTB) is Cambodia’s first and foremost bank. As Cambodia’s private commercial bank, FTB has been providing customers with safe and reliable banking services for almost 40 years. The Bank was created following Sub-decree No. 1213 dated 10 October 1979 under the former regime of the State of Cambodia. In the Bank was separated from the direct management of the National Bank of Cambodia (“the Central Bank”) in order to transform its permanent identity into a state-owned commercial bank in Cambodia with the features of a Public Economic Enterprise and with the intention of conducting autonomous business operation. In January 2001, the Bank obtained its banking license from the Central Bank to operate as a commercial bank in the Kingdom of Cambodia for a period of three years starting from 4 January 2001. This was the first license granted to enable the Bank to operate as a separate legal entity independent from the Central Bank’s direct management. On 8 January 2004, the Bank obtained its 2nd banking license from the Central Bank for a period of three years starting from that date. The Bank now holds a commercial banking license, which was renewed for an indefinite period, on 21 December 2006.

The Association Of Banks In Cambodia
The Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) was formed in 1994 and recognized by the Royal Government of Cambodia as the official entity to represent Cambodia’s private banking sector. In 1997, ABC was officially recognized by the Council of Ministers. ABC becomes the 8 th member banks of the ASEAN Bankers Association (ABA) in ABC is operated under the frame of the Law on Banking and Financing Institution, and its Articles that was approved on 28 August 2001 and registered at the National Bank of Cambodia on 2 October 2001. Finally, on 23 November 2012, ABC had officially registered with the Ministry of Interior.

DGB Bank is a private commercial bank in Cambodia with ownership shareholding 100% of Daegu Bank, a famous bank in South Korea. DGB Bank Plc.(“the Bank”) was initially incorporated in Cambodia as Cam Capital Co, Ltd and registered with the Ministry of Commerce as a public limited company under the registration number Co. 6364/09E, dated 22 December 2009. On 19 March 2012, the Bank received a new registration number Co. 6364E/2009 from the Ministry of Commerce. On 17 February 2010, the Bank received an indefinite license from the National Bank of Cambodia (“NBC”) to conduct business as a Micro-Finance Institution. On 1 August 2013, the Bank received approval from NBC to upgrade to a specialized banking institution and changed its legal name to Cam Capital Specialized Bank Plc. On 19 October 2017, the shareholders of the Bank entered into Share Sale and Purchase Agreement to sell 100% of shareholding to Daegu Bank, a bank incorporated in Daegu, the Republic of Korea. On 28 December 2017, the Bank received approval from NBC to change its operating name from Cam Capital Specialized Bank Plc. to DGB Specialized Bank Plc. The revised specialized banking license was granted to the Bank on 27 December 2017. On 30 September 2020, the NBC granted the commercial banking license to the Bank.
