Kill-Switch
Kill-Switch was founded in late 2018 with one main purpose: To provide organisations with a tool to immediately close down certain parts of the it-infrastructure. This tool is especially valuable in case an attack should occur, and an ideal layer of protection to base the incident response plan around. Kill-Switch was born due to the sudden spread of WannaCry and Petya/NotPetya in 2016 and 2017 that left businesses worldwide paralyzed. The attack left corporations with an important reminder: hackers will continue to find ways to get into your systems, even with the best firewalls installed. Something was missing. In today’s IT operations, companies often rely on manual interaction when a virus or cyberattack is spreading. Typically, the filtering process prior to an attack is limited to simple detection and reporting tools. These tools only contain reporting capabilities, which provide the company with an overview. When an attack occurs the company is notified, but no further action is taken to stop the virus from spreading. As viruses spread within minutes, these reporting facilities and manual action plans are inadequate. The only way to successfully isolate a virus and prevent it from spreading further into your company is to isolate it within minutes of detection. We know for a fact that despite all efforts to prevent unauthorized access organizations are still at risk from malicious code. Kill-Switch provides a much needed solution to this issue allowing companies to immediately isolate an attack. This saves you valuable time and ressources, while allowing you to investigate the incidence in detail without worrying that the virus will continue to spread.
