شرکت دانش بنیان آزمونه فولاد به عنوان آزمایشگاه واحد ساختمانی شرکت سهامی ذوب آهن اصفهان از سال ۱۳۴۸فعالیت خود را آغاز نمود این آزمایشگاه در دوره ساخت ذوب آهن؛ کلیه مصالح ساختمانی، موادشیمیایی، متالورژی و جوش مورد نیاز در ساخت را زیر نظر کارشناسان روسی و ایرانی مورد آزمایش و تائید قرار می داد. شرکت آزمونه فولاد فعالیت شرکتی خود را از سال ۱۳۷۱ همزمان با اجرای سیاستهای خصوصی سازی دولت آغاز کرد. در این سال٪۴۰ سهام شرکت متعلق به هلدینگ شرکت تکادو و الباقی متعلق به اشخاص حقیقی و کارکنان آزمایشگاه بود در زمان تاسیس بالغ بر ۹۵ از درآمد شرکت از طریق پیمان منعقده باشرکت ذوب آهن و کمتر از ۵ از فعالیتهای خارج تامین می گردید با شروع کار، مدیریت شرکت با اتخاذ سیاستهای نوین سازمانی و با خرید و نوسازی تجهیزات، فعالیتها را به سمت بازارهای جدید داخلی توسعه داد. بطوریکه ظرف کمتر از ۵ سال بالغ بر ٪۸۰ درآمدهای شرکت از پروژه های خارج از ذوب آهن تامین گردید با عملکرد مناسب شرکت در سال ۷۵ واحد زمین شناسی ذوب آهن هم با شرکت آزمونه ادغام گردید از همان سال با دریافت رتبه ها و تائیدیه های معتبر داخلی و خارجی و استخدام کارشناسان و متخصصین مجرب و خرید تجهیزات و امکانات جدید فعالیت خود را در زمینه تحقیقات ژئوتکنیک و حفاری، بازرسی فنی و بازرسی کالا پایش خوردگی، آزمایشگاه های متالورژی ، مقاومت مصالح و کالیبراسیون، آموزش و مشاوره گسترش داده است.
