a "Sustainable Innovation Lab" Das Baumhaus, the tree house, is a project and event space for sustainable development in Berlin with an interior inspired by Gaudi, Lord of The Rings, Avatar and all things generally organic in aesthetic. We connect, inspire and empower each other as neighbors, professionals, organizations and local change-makers working for transition towards sustainability. We facilitate the process of bringing together groups of trans-disciplinary people and projects together to meet and collaborate on creating a wide variety of sustainable solutions often in the form of designed objects, systems and events in the physical and virtual worlds. Engineer, designer & artist Scott Bolden runs the business along with social scientist and activist Karen Wohlert. They started the project with the goal of creating an inspiring environment and providing room for meetings and events of social and ecological projects. Dinamo is a type design agency that offers retail and bespoke typefaces, design software, research, and consultancy. We have spaces in Basel and Berlin, and satellite members in various other locations. Members of Dinamo are visiting teachers at various art academies and have been invited to give workshops and lectures at an international roster of educational institutions. In 2017, Dinamo was awarded the Swiss Design Award by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture. In 2018, the foundry’s co-founders Johannes Breyer and Fabian Harb became members of the AGI. Dinamo has released more than 20 typeface families to date, and continues to oscillate between commercial and cultural projects.
