Real Danish Design Awards is an annual design award and exhibition, intended for practitioners in the broader field of design, to exhibit and showcase their work to the general public. We welcome designers from all different fields. The exhibition's goal is not only to examine the contemporary and future states of design but also to support a scene for smaller and/or newly established designers and studios. Real Danish Design Awards, will be a platform that creates culture and debate about form, function, effects, affects and aesthetics. Design is a complex term and is today an essential part of contemporary culture. Today's design is represented by different subject areas and specialists working with design. The notion of design is used more and more like its original meaning of the Latin word "designare", to make a plan or ‘to sketch’, we see terms like design thinking, design services, design strategy & social design. Real Danish Design Awards does not believe that a new understanding of the notion of design will eliminate the old, but rather add meaning to the term. This is why the notion of design becomes even more complex. Real Danish Design Awards have seen the opportunity to supplement the design award scene by focusing more on the craftsmanship and the thorough work each designer does. Aesthetics and craftsmanship form the foundation of Real Danish Design Awards, without denying the importance of good sustainable and social initiatives. Sicels

Sicels is a slow fashion studio based in Copenhagen, est. late 2019 by Mariapia Mineo, MA in Fashion Design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation. Sicels is focusing on seasonless, timeless scarves inspired by Mediterranean patterns and colours, ethically hand crafted in Italy and England. All scarves are designed in Copenhagen and printed in premium family run studios that, alongside sourcing only natural & sustainable textiles, are strongly committed to use innovative technology to reduce water usage and recycle excess dyes in the process. All dyes used are water soluble and the fabrics are coated and prepared for printing using a mixture of natural products only. Sicels collections are seasonless and all scarves produced in limited editions to avoid over production and encourage a more conscious purchase. Fabrics used on Sicels scarves range from the classic Silk twill and Crepe de Chine to Organic Peace silk, Merino virgin wool, Cotton voile, Ecovero Viscose. The latest drop features qualities such as Recycled "Spun" silk and GOTS certified silk twills aiming to gradually reduce the use of regular silk in favour of more sustainable alternatives.

I stedet for blot en stationær udstilling af produkter, gør vi det "the unum way", hvor vi former et helstøbt miljø med arbejdsstudio og levende showroom. Her har kunder mulighed for at se og opleve produkterne i brug, og åå den måde skaber vi en enestående eksponering i en unik, hjemlig og troværdig indretning. Unum er ligeledes arbejdssted og showroom i forbindelse med vores konsulentvirksomhed ULF & DAMSHOLT, hvori vi arbejder med projektudvikling i hotel- og restaurationsbranchen.

Xavit

XaViT startede som en hobby for en håndfuld år siden. Jeg skilte ting ad og byggede nyt ud af det. Jeg begyndte at lave specielle møbler til mit eget hjem. Jeg postede lidt billeder på de sociale medier og fandt ud af at folk synes at det var interessant at følge med i. Så efterhånden som opmærksomheden steg, så kunne jeg godt se, at jeg måtte lave en en facebookgruppe hvor folk kunne følge med og siden kom en instagram side også på. Samtidig begyndte der at komme forespørgsler ind, men da jeg havde et fuldtidsarbejde, var det svært at sige ja til opgaverne, da tiden var knap. Men jeg kunne mærke at når jeg var i værkstedet, så levede jeg virkelig! Så pr. 1/4-2024 satser jeg 100% XaViT og at mine ideer og designs kan bære det. Jeg ser rigtig meget frem til mange spændende opgaver.
