Fablab.Ir

FabLab.ir was formed in 2014 as a digital fabrication laboratory to provide an open access environment for anyone who desires to invent, design, and share knowledge across international borders. Our Tehran-based fablab's mission is to provide access to the tools and knowledge to educate, innovate and invent using technology and digital fabrication to allow anyone to make (almost) anything, and thereby creating opportunities to improve lives and livelihoods around the world. We’re a DIY 120 square meter creative space that provides open and membership based access to digital fabrication tools, education workshops, making events and a vibrant community. We help individuals and universities learn about the application of digital technologies, rapid hardware prototyping, 3D printing and design practices. Now, we have a range of fabrication tools including laser cutters, 3D printers, milling machines, sewing machines,and traditional hand tools (saws, drills, hammers, chisels etc). Our Lab provides four core services: 1. Shared work-space for schools, universities & individuals to work and develop ideas 2. Offer access to various digital fabrication machines 3. Skills development and technology education through events & workshops 4. A business accelerator, translating innovative concepts into businesses

Mohammad Reza Hedayati is the founder of Hedayati Design Studio in the field of industrial design, product design, design strategy and branding. Hedayati lives in Tehran, Iran. After several years working for different companies in Iran, he established this studio in 2019. The studio activities are in various fields of design such as home goods, lighting, furniture, fashion design, accessory design, packaging design, etc. He thinks in a minimalist style with maximum efficiency, he is specialized in this regard. What is important for him is to integrate elements with the whole form and function, not to add them unnecessarily and simply for aesthetic reasons. He considers design as the art of creating a new feeling and a pulsating, significant and influential structure for society and the future of human beings. During 15-year professional activity, he has been able to design various products and marketed them to domestic and foreign markets and attract more customers to his thought and taste. He has worked with international companies such as (Aloni, Ziba Alon, Swiss Army, Bic. Etc.) and domestic companies such as (Ziba Alon, Dorsa, Ziba Sazan, Jahan Crystal, Gaxu and Jetko…) and some of these companies are still collaborating with him. His designs have artistic labels, including the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Awards.
