Davide Groppi
It all started in a small laboratory in the historical centre of the Italian town of Piacenza during the late 1980’s. Davide Groppi was inventing and producing his first lamps and decided simply to use his own name for the name of the company. Creative independence and passionate, unconventional management have allowed him, over time, to develop his own brand of original and unique products, currently distributed the world over. Simplicity, weightlessness, emotion, creative invention and amazement are the fundamental ingredients of each lamp or lighting project designed by Davide Groppi. His creations come about through the need to give life to something that is necessary or significant. Light, for Davide Groppi, is a wonderful way to seduce and excite. Over the course of many years, the company developed products, international projects in collaboration with design companies, including the illumination of houses, stores, museums and restaurants of the most famous and decorated chefs in the world. Davide Groppi’s work has been recognized for excellence by the press and received prestigious awards, including the Edida Award, in 2011, for the Sampei lamp; the Design Plus Award, in 2014, for the Neuro lamp; two awards at the 23rd edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Awards for the Nulla and the Sampei lamps; the ADI Compasso d’Oro Mention of Honour for the rechargeable lamp TeTaTeT in 2016. As part of the “Quirinale Contemporaneo” project, inaugurated in 2019, Sampei and Origine floor lamps light up the Quirinal Palace. Origine also enriches the interiors of the Italian Embassy to the Holy See for the initiative “Contemporanei a Palazzo Borromeo”. Davide Groppi S.r.l. has been a part of the Dexelance s.p.a. group since 2018. In 2019, Davide Groppi became member of Altagamma Foundation, the creative and cultural ecosystem that is the most important accelerator of Made in Italy products.

Mutina is a brand new way of looking at ceramics as objects of interior design. It is an artistic project that unites technology, craft, experimentation and research to push the boundaries of the material itself and create a high-quality product. Patricia Urquiola, Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, Rodolfo Dordoni, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Tokujin Yoshioka, Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay of Raw Edges, Inga Sempè and Konstantin Grcic are the heart of Mutina. A close-knit team that share the same passions in their work: art, good design, architecture, product approach and a unique take on life. Their work is the result of tireless research to test which artisanal or industrial techniques (using the latest technology) are most suitable for producing ceramic floor and wall tiles and providing architecture with a second skin. That is why Mutina ceramics have become a favourite choice for public and private spaces, from contemporary domestic interiors to designer hotels, fashion showrooms, trendy restaurants, prestigious universities (Luigi Bocconi) and great temples of art (Tate Modern), in Europe and all around the world. Mutina has been internationally recognized with numerous awards for its innovative approach, creativity and results achieved in the field of ceramic tiles. Some of the more recent accolades include the IMM Interior Innovation Award 2014 for the collections Azulej by Patricia Urquiola, Tex by Raw Edges and Phenomenon by Tokujin Yoshioka; the Wallpaper Design Award 2014, the EDIDA Award 2014 for the Mews collection by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and the EDIDA Award 2016 in the Wall Covering category for Numi by Konstantin Grcic.

Pad Project è una società di progettazione arredo su misura specializzata nell'ingegnerizzazione di arredi navali di lusso. Nata nel 2012, PAD Project ha rivoluzionato il settore nautico con un'idea semplice ma innovativa: progettare l’arredo di una imbarcazione interamente in 3D con un livello di dettaglio che non lasci spazio ad interpretazioni da parte di chi realizza e monta il mobilio. Tale sistema di progettazione ha consentito ai Clienti che si sono affidati a Pad Project di ridurre le tempistiche per la produzione e l’allestimento degli interni, di affrontare tutte le modifiche, all'ordine del giorno nel settore nautico one–off, senza compromettere i tempi di consegna contrattuali e permettere interventi di manutenzione e sostituzione componenti mantenendo lo standard qualitativo dell’intera imbarcazione. L’utilizzo della tecnologia Bentley unitamente all’applicativo Progenio, ci ha consentito di ridurre di 1/3 i tempi di progettazione e redazione di schede tecniche di produzione, permettendo al cliente di avere sempre una visione globale del progetto e la libertà di modificare gli elementi architettonici con un impatto modesto sui tempi e i costi di revisione. I vantaggi di una progettazione precisa e flessibile sono stati apprezzati in particolare - dalle falegnamerie che hanno diminuito i tempi di produzione avendo la possibilità, nel caso di utilizzo di Microstation e Progenio, di andare alla macchina di taglio semplicemente ripassando il nostro progetto per una conversione al CAD/CAM - dai montatori di bordo che hanno dimezzato le modifiche e il rifacimento di pezzi a bordo con conseguente risparmio di tempo e incremento dei guadagni e che grazie alla virtualizzazione dell’intero scafo hanno ricevuto feedback costanti e realistici sulle opere di posa - dal cliente che ha potuto gestire l’appalto arredi dividendolo in diverse falegnamerie e ottenendo un prodotto comunque uniforme grazie ad un progetto preciso e dettagliato.

CoeLux® recreates the sun and the sky to produce a real-like outside experience while being inside through a combination of three fundamental elements: a high-brightness, custom LED projector that reproduces the spectral characteristics of sunlight; sophisticated optic systems to direct the sun rays so that the observer perceives the sky and the sun at an infinite distance; and a nano-structured material that creates the Rayleigh scattering diffusion process that happens naturally within our earth’s atmosphere. CoeLux® technology allows for a new concept of architecture. It returns to architecture the possibility for the human eye to be a window to the sky and the possibility to again be connected to our familiar origins, a place where we actually belong: nature and the outdoors. CoeLux® has developed and commercialized two different systems which can be integrated with architecture. Both systems are suitable for all architectural applications.
