Šolski Center Srečka Kosovela Sežana, Višja Strokovna Šola

Višja strokovna šola je bila v začetku leta 2008 ustanovljena v okviru javnega zavoda Šolski center Srečka Kosovela Sežana. Višja strokovna šola izvaja dva izobraževalna programa, Oblikovanje materialov in Fotografijo. Študij je organiziran v dveh letnikih. Izobraževalni proces temelji na prepletu teoretičnih znanj in obrtnih veščin, zato je študij organiziran v obliki predavanj, seminarskih in laboratorijskih vaj. Poleg tega se v vsakem študijskem letu izvede 10 tednov praktičnega izobraževanja v podjetjih ali pri obrtnikih. Vaje in nekatera predavanja potekajo v specialnih učilnicah oz. laboratorijih, ki omogočajo študentom spoznavanje delovne opreme in sodobne tehnologije. Učni proces izvajajo predavatelji in inštruktorji z delovnimi izkušnjami na področju stroke. The Higher Vocational College (Višja strokovna šola) was established at the beginning of 2008 within the framework of the Public Institution known as the “Srecko Kosovel School Centre, Sežana” (Šolski center Srečka Kosovela Sežana). The Higher Vocational College provides two study curricula: Designing Materials and Photography. The length of the course is 2 years. The interweaving of theoretical knowledge and craftsmen’s skills lays the groundwork for the education process which is thus organised in the form of lectures, seminar theses and laboratory exercises. Additionally, in each academic Year the students participate in 10 weekly practical training courses given by commercial companies or craftsmen. Exercises and certain lectures take place in the special classrooms or laboratories, which enable the students to learn about working equipment and modern technologies. The study curriculum is conducted with the guidance of qualified lecturers and instructors who have skills and experience in the related fields of science.
