Majotech - High Performance Fabrics Majocchi
Majocchi was founded in 1941 in Bobbiate, Varese, one of the most relevant textile areas of all times, thanks to a genial intuition of its founder Bruno Romanin. Since its beginning, Majocchi has always been innovating, becoming a reference point in the market for design innovation and performance. These are the years of the development of the activity: the first wool, rayon, silk, cotton fabrics were produced and in 1947 the AIRONE trademark was patented. 1990 The Nineties are marked by the development of innovative and performing fabrics for the world of clothing. Among our main customers we can find Ralph Lauren, The North Face, Tommy Hilfiger, Prada, Timberland, Napapijri. These are also the years of the development of the 3-layer Cordura for the first Luna Rossa. In 1998 the supply of military fabrics begins, thanks to the collaboration with General Electric. Majocchi finally enters the military sector in 1994, when it was awarded with a global contract for the Italian army for the new combat uniform and cold weather parka. In 1998, Laminated fabrics 3 layers and laminated fabrics with ptfe was developed and an exclusive agreement with Event ® by general electric for military and apparel was made. Design and performance became one, joining in an indissoluble way. Majocchi begins to collaborate with Place, Supreme, Woolrich, Stone Island, Maharishi and many other famous brands. A great milestone for the company, which becomes a point of reference for the world’s largest clothing brands. 2002 marks the launch of the first Flame Retardant Cordura ® fabric for ballistic vest and the development of a special fabric for the helicopter collection. In 2011 we see the creation of the light weight & packable new fabric for the British army in Iraq Operation Herrik. 2015 is the starting point of the collaboration with Kanye West for Yeezy Season 1.

Il primo prodotto lanciato è VAIA Cube, un amplificatore naturale di suoni per smartphone, reso unico ogni volta dal lavoro di artigiani locali. Per ogni oggetto venduto, la startup pianta un nuovo albero nelle Dolomiti. Con questo modello di business sostenibile e “rigenerativo”, è stato raggiunto il traguardo di alberi, piantati insieme a una community che conta più di persone.

Draga & Aurel
Founded in 2007 in the town of Como, Italy, Draga & Aurel is a multi-disciplinary design studio that works along the spectrum of furniture, textile and interior design. Draga Obradovic and began her career in the fashion industry, first working in London and Milan as a textile designer before eventually settling in Como. Aurel K. Basedow graduated from Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti with a degree in Fine Arts, having previously trained as a carpenter and woodworker. Thanks to their sympathetic methods, combined with an artist’s approach to material and composition Draga & Aurel are widely recognized for their clever reinvention of bespoke vintage design pieces. Their showing at 2009’s Salone del Mobile introduced the duo to the world stage; it followed the partnerships with Italian design brand Baxter, wallpaper brand Wall & Deco and major American fashion retailer Anthropologie that have pushed the pair’s domain beyond the reinvention of singular vintage pieces. While interior projects, like Sicily’s Dimora delle Balze and Cannavacciuolo’s Café & Bistrot in Novara, have expanded their sought-after aesthetic into the realm of hospitality and lifestyle. In occasion of the 2019 Milan Design Week the design duo presented the capsule collection “Transparency Matters”, entirely fabricated by hand in their Como atelier. Later, Draga & Aurel have participated with a site-specific project to Nomad Circle, the showcase for contemporary art and collectible design, in the 2019 edition in Venice and in the 2020 in St. Moritz. In the same year, Draga & Aurel started a collaboration with the known Italian furniture company Visionnaire.
