Chew - Interactive Cooking Platform For Kids

Chew is an interactive online platform with food related content for children aged 6-14 years to develop their cooking skills, increase knowledge about proper nutrition and inspire a healthier and more varied diet. Getting children to eat healthier and to have a more varied diet is a common problem worldwide. A constant struggle for parents to encourage their kids to eat more varied creates lots of frustration, guilt, stress, and less pleasant situations around the dinner table. As a bigger consequence we are in danger that so many people are in poorer health that it will have consequences for both the labour market and the health services in the future. Research shows that children are more open to healthy eating if they are allowed to participate in cooking, and if they are allowed to decide for themselves. The first product in every topic is a general introduction to the topic and a guideline to the lectures, courses, and study groups. In the introductions the user will be able to evaluate the content of the lectures, courses and study groups. Lectures are 60 – 180 minutes that will lead the user through the theoretical background for a subject, and for some subject give the foundation to follow the next lecture on the same subject. The more advanced lectures will build upon the knowledge obtained in the previous lecture. Study groups are live sessions with direct two-way communication between teacher and students. The group size is relatively small to give high value to the participants. These groups can if the students want it be formed by students that have a geographic location or similar productions in common. The number of sessions can vary according to what the group needs. Exams in various topics can follow the lectures and when passed a diploma, that contains information on the student’s identity proved by passport, the level of the study – topics included in the exam – grade and the identity of the teacher and controlling examiner, will be issued and send online to the student. OUR VISION We want to make knowledge and experiences accessible to anyone who is interested, and we hope to inspire people to farm the best way they possibly can. The wisdom has to travel back and forth in a world without borders made by countries, welfare, or educational level. Tips, tricks, and observations have to be accessible to every farmer, consultant, scientist, and buyer of farm products. Kakadu

Kakadu ble stiftet i 2020 med en visjon om å inkludere alle i den digitale hverdagen. Det er faktisk 600 som i dag sliter med å ta del i det digitale samfunnet i Norge. Majoriteten av disse er over 60 år, men også de utenfor arbeidslivet og innvandrere er overrepresentert. Vi mener alle skal kunne nyttiggjøre seg av teknologi. Det handler om å ha kontroll i eget liv, og om det å være med i samfunnet - på tross av hvor digital hverdagen er. Dagens digitale opplæring av eldre, og andre grupper som står på den digitale sidelinjen, er langt på vei tilfeldig, basert på uformell læring fra barn og barnebarn, eller frivillige organisasjoner og sporadiske initiativer. Kakadu vil gjøre digital kompetanseheving mindre tilfeldig, og mer tilgjengelig – for alle. 🫶
