Dna Education
DNA Education was founded in 2011 with a mission to deliver affordable tuition in an enjoyable environment. Gone are the days of 'sweat shop' tutoring centres which are often more congested than school classrooms. We offer group tuition with a MAX of 4 students per class. This ensures tutoring is individualised for each student and tailored to maximise their marks by consolidating their strengths and improving on their weaknesses. Exam techniques and time management are also incorporated into our classes which are tailored with a focus on end results. Our Approach There is no conveyor belt learning at DNA Education. Each student is assessed and tutored specific to the individual. We are passionate and dedicated to supporting students of all academic levels. We believe education is maximised through small group environments where students interact, are challenged and supported by their tutors. We pride ourselves in providing a positive learning environment to encourage student engagement and enjoyment. At DNA Education we make this possible through classes of 2-3 students on average, capped at 4 students. In general our classes run for 1 hour per subject per week, with HSC subjects from 1-2 hours. Tutoring is provided for all subjects and years from Kindergarten through to the HSC year to ensure continuity and support to our students throughout their schooling years. Our Methods: 1. The student is assessed to determine their capability level. Core concepts are explained and revised to ensure an in-depth understanding. Assistance with previous homework issues. Resources are provided to reinforce concepts. Mock examinations and past-papers are provided to expose student to diverse questions. Examination, time management and assessment strategies.

Educator Impact
Five years ago we started our business by introducing a pioneering method for teachers to obtain 360-degree feedback in their classroom. It worked by enabling teachers to obtain quantitative and qualitative feedback on their practice from students, observers, and a self-assessment. Our key differentiator has and always will be that we put the teacher at the centre of the process. Ours is not a performance management tool; quite the opposite. The EI’s platform is human-centred and development focused. Shortly thereafter, we introduced a 360 feedback professional development tool for school leaders. This is tailored to the education sector where commercial tools don’t translate well. The final product in our professional development suite was dedicated to school support staff, again based on a framework of best practice that we developed with our customers. Along the way, we became experts at developing measurement instruments for education. More importantly, we became very good at deploying these services across all sectors and socio-economic backgrounds. We know schools. In the last 12 months, we’ve broadened our scope to take that core competency, and aim to become the best way by which schools and school systems measure the non-academic aspects of their school. So the natural next step for us was to develop a better way to measure wellbeing for students and staff alike. The pulse platform is specifically designed to work in the complex structures that schools use to manage pastoral care. Not only do schools have a way for students to ask for help from anywhere at any time, but they also have access to statistically robust wellbeing and engagement data. Leaders can then make rapid decisions to improve the overall health of their schools. We help schools to improve their culture and student outcomes by connecting wellbeing, performance, and engagement. We are the platform for assessing your school health.
