Tallinna Huvikeskus Kullo

Tallinn Centre for Extracurricular Activities „Kullo“ is Estonia’s oldest and largest centre for extracurricular activities, founded in 1941. At our hobby school, children aged 4-19 as well as adults will find activities that interest them. In a given year, over 1800 pupils in 50 different groups participate in avocational activities. Our mission is to create a stimulating and creative study environment for children and young people and to enable them to pursue a multi-faceted avocational education. The goal of our activity is to inspire young people, allow them to discover their abilities and talents and providing guidance and support for the development of their personality through extracurricular activities. Besides our main building in Tallinn, where we began activity in 1978, Kullo also operates a Children’s Gallery in Tallinn’s Old Town and a Youth Camp in Karepa, Lääne-Viru County. Since 2007, Kullo has been organizing the compulsory swimming instruction for Tallinn city schools. About 3200 schoolchildren are enrolled in the lessons during the year. Kullo also organizes interscholastic sports, in which about children participate each year. We offer extracurricular activities in the following fields: Over 400 pupils from Kullo attend the national song- and dance festival from the Ellerhein Choir Studio, the Raduga Children’s Choir and the Sõleke Dance Ensemble, which is one of the biggest childrens group. Tallinna Saksa Gümnaasium on alates 1980. aastast tegutsev eesti ja saksa õppekeelega üldhariduskool Tallinnas. aasta 1. septembril alustas tööd saksakeelne osakond.
