Toyoko Design Thinking Network
Hello! Hola. We want to build the same type of strong Design Thinking communities we see abroad, also here in Japan. If you have a lot of Design Thinking experience or no experience at all, you're welcome at our meet up and in our community. Come by and let's connect and most importantly, make some like minded friends. Our languages are English and Japanese (and sometimes, Mexican).

Huruma Education
We have a crisis of lack of connection, to ourselves, to each other, and to the rest of the natural world. A crisis of mistaken identity, of separateness, and a need to dominate or get the better of other people or the natural world. There are ways to develop our sense of identity, our sense of connection, our ability to empathize more deeply with a broader span of beings and thereby develop our sense of what is truly moral and ethical behavior. We do need knowledge, and other knowledge-based interventions are important, as are frequently employed, but they are not enough, sustainability is an inside–out job and we have to tends to the mind, heart, and spirit in order to be effective in our interventions. Through workshopping, mentoring, and consulting with educational institutions online and in person, where possible, I facilitate individuals and collectives through a whole-school approach to education for sustainable development (ESD). We look at all of the facets of the individual and collective that need to be acknowledged in order to be successful in our ESD efforts and take practical steps in a more compassionate direction. Your institution will leave feeling clearer and more convicted in their efforts and with a plan in place to become increasingly environmentally, socially and economically sustainable.
