Magister Academy
Magister Academy was founded in 1993 and is one of the first English Language schools to open in Malta. In 2014 the school changed Management and was acquired by the Institute of English Language Studies Ltd (IELS Malta). Since then it has undergone extensive refurbishment to modernise the premises, including new residential accommodation on the upper floors of the school. The School is now operating from a modern building located in a quiet luxurious residential area of St. Julians. This touristic town is situated along the coast and is known for its vast selection of restaurants, hotels and nightclubs which are centred mainly in an area known as Paceville. Magister Academy offers General, Intensive, Exam Preparation and Business English courses for Adult students over the age of 18. The school is open all year round and consists of 11 classrooms and an on-site modern residence exclusively for its students, with private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and a dedicated study area. Msa - Malta Sociological Association
The Malta Sociological Association has been established as an independent, non-profit and non-commercial voluntary organization (VO/1322). The Association promotes sociological research and contributes toward facilitating the cooperation of people working within the sociological field. It also aims at understanding and analysing social problems for the improvement of the quality of life. As a scientific, independent organisation, MSA has no religious, political or any other kind of affiliation. The Association may decide to affiliate with international sociological associations. Its functions are-to encourage the exchange of social research findings by developing a network of individuals working within the field of sociology-to organise meetings, seminars and workshop sessions with the intention of facilitating the participation of members in the analysis of social research-to publish a regular newsletter, at least twice annually, e-mailed to all members to keep them informed of ongoing and planned activities-to promote the study of social research and the dissemination of the results; and -to act as a source of sociological outreach within the Maltese society.
