God Is Love Educational Foundation
We are a faith based not-for-profit organization established to help students achieve their full potentials. In the last two years, we have impacted the lives of over two thousand Nigerian students through our outreaches, webinars, scholarship information, donation of free education material to students and regular online publications. A critical observation of the world’s educational system shows that our world current is in impending danger. From statistics: 1. 260 million children are out of school globally. An estimated 617 million children and adolescents around the world are unable to reach minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, although about two-third of them are in school. Nigeria has the highest number of out-of-school children in the world (10.1 million). The fact remains that there exists an education crisis! All children have the right to go to school but not all children are in school. Even those who eventually make it to school do not all receive quality education. Worldwide, there are more non-learners in school than out of school. Inadequate learning facilities, incompetent or poorly motivated teachers, insecurity, poverty amongst others are critical factors that are responsible for the learning crisis. A poor learning environment hampers the motivation of a student to learn. An unmotivated teacher cannot produce a good student. Insecurity disrupts the school’s curriculum. Poverty is a precursor to hunger. A hungry child will never be happy about learning. We believe a different world is possible – a world where every child has access to quality education and is able to maximize it to achieve his fullest potential. We see a world where access to quality education is not based on race, color of skin, background or location. Every educated child is an educated nation and every educated nation is an educated world.
