In Spanish Lessons Amsterdam we believe that each student is unique and therefore, different. That's why we offer different types of lessons, so we can meet everyone's needs. The classes are meant to be fun, easy-going and they take place in a relaxed environment while we enjoy some coffee, tea or,(why not?) some Argentinean mate so you can boost your confidence and feel comfortable enough to speak, Mili, the founder of Spanish Lessons Amsterdam, and the rest of the team are language-passionate people who will help you get to the level you want at the pace you need. We work with a textbook to guide us through the lessons, but also with other important resources such as newspaper articles, blogs, websites, videos, shorts, songs, extra exercises, etc, so the process of learning is always complete and diverse. Our students say our classes are fun, full of energy and you'll be able to speak from day one!

We believe that transformation cannot happen without knowledge, education and understanding. Going abroad, especially to study and as a young adult, is a big step for everyone. Next to having financial, housing and educational support we believe that having a better understanding of what life offers you while abroad, especially in The Netherlands, and being able to look after yourself are a few of the most important aspects of succeeding there. Knowing where to go to buy the essentials, how to handle your money and living a healthy life are just a few of the elements that nearly all students struggle with on a daily basis. We are confident to say so, because fellow students and us have gone through these experiences ourselves, which is why Kompas is made by students for students.” This project started after talking to many students who came to The Netherlands from Aruba in 2016. Most students felt like they needed a better understanding of what life is really about in The Netherlands, along with learning about essential life skills. Having felt like this themselves many times during their earlier student years, and seeing how younger students still face these situations, it became evident How do we achieve this? By giving annual preparatory workshops in Aruba. Check-in sessions with new students & Year-round guidance in/from the Netherlands.

Door het geloof weten wij dat de wereld door Gods Woord is gemaakt. Wij geloven dat de zichtbare werkelijkheid ook vanuit deze wetenschap is te verklaren. Wij helpen om intelligente antwoorden op grote, moeilijke vragen te vinden. Wij hopen dat ons werk ertoe bijdraagt dat velen het vertrouwen (her)vinden in Gods Woord. Wij leven in een gevallen wereld, die eens weer hersteld zal worden. Tot die tijd dragen wij de goede boodschap uit dat Gods beloften vast en zeker zijn.

Stichting Planeet In Actie

Duurzaamheid betekent voor ons “samen, speels in actie komen” en “groot denken en klein beginnen”. In vijf weken leren kinderen van PO en VO over globale uitdagingen en hun oplossingen, zoals circulaire economie, landschapsherstel en sociale innovaties. Op school, thuis en in de buurt ondernemen zij samen acties die op lokaal niveau aan de globale missies bijdragen. Een kant-en-klaar lespakket met een gedreven gastdocent voor duurzaamheid, ondernemerschap en spin-offs binnen en buiten het klaslokaal.

Stichting Platforms Vmbo

In de Stichting Platforms vmbo (SPV) werken docentenplatforms samen aan het vmbo. SPV richt zich op de beroepsgerichte profielen én de avo-vakken. Onder het motto ‘samen waar het kan, apart waar dat wenselijk is’ bundelen platforms hun krachten en vormen zij één vmbo-gezicht en één gesprekspartner voor het vmbo-veld. SPV werkt met alle belangrijke spelers in het onderwijsveld, zoals de ministeries van OCW en EZ, de VO-raad, de MBO Raad, de AOC Raad, S-BB, branche-organisaties en vertegenwoordigers namens het bedrijfsleven. Dit alles met als doel de leerlingen in het vmbo een optimale voorbereiding te bieden op opleiding en beroep.

Storm Veiligheidsprofessionals

Als specialist is Storm in staat het veiligheidsadvies af te stemmen op de bedrijfsspecifieke risico’s. Dit vergroot de herkenbaarheid en betrokkenheid bij de klant. Binnen de wettelijke kaders wordt de inhoud van het advies aangepast aan uw specifieke risico’s, zodat ook bedrijfsspecifieke risico’s realistisch beheerst worden. Hierdoor kunnen wij direct inspelen op de praktijksituatie.

Studiestap

StudieStap bestaat uit een enthousiast en energiek team van studenten en net afgestudeerden: de StudieStappers. Met onze studiekennis nog fris in het geheugen willen wij de middelbare scholieren op een originele manier een kijkje geven binnen onze eigen wetenschap. Zo komt de veelheid aan studie-informatie meer tot leven!

Studievereniging Contact

In het studiejaar is de opleiding Communicatie- en informatiewetenschappen opgestart aan de Universiteit Utrecht. In dat eerste jaar zijn er elf enthousiastelingen geweest die de taak op zich hadden genomen om een studievereniging voor deze nieuwe studie op te richten die de volgende doelstelling tot zich nam: “Het behartigen van de belangen van studenten Communicatie- en informatiewetenschappen en leden van SV Contact in het bijzonder.” Zij stelden dat SV Contact het schakelpunt is tussen CIW-studenten, de universiteit en de relevante buitenwereld. Op 24 oktober werden de plannen voor de studievereniging aan de medestudenten uit de doeken gedaan. Deze dag is daarna de officiële oprichtingsdatum van SV Contact geworden. Vervolgens is Contact op 3 april 2001 een officiële vereniging geworden. De vereniging is het sociaal Contactpunt voor CIW-studenten onderling maar ook naar de buitenwereld toe (bedrijfsleven, andere studieverenigingen; de relevante buitenwereld). De vereniging zou voor kortingen kunnen zorgen voor wat betreft studiegerelateerd materiaal, op kunnen treden als bemiddelaar of tussenpersoon tussen de studenten en de universiteit. Inmiddels is SV Contact uitgegroeid tot een ‘volwassen’ vereniging en zijn er verschillende commissies opgericht die de het sociale oogpunt van de vereniging benadrukken en de mogelijkheden bieden voor de CIW-studenten om elkaar buiten de universiteit om te ontmoeten.

Studievereniging Nucleus is de studievereniging van de Hoger Laboratoriumopleidingen Biologie & medisch laboratoriumonderzoek (B&M) en Chemie te Hogeschool Leiden en het Middelbaar Laboratoriumonderwijs behorende bij MBO-Rijnland. Study association Nucleus is the study association for the higher laboratory programs Biology & medical laboratory research and Chemistry at Leiden University of Applied Sciences, and the secondary laboratory education at MBO-Rijnland.

Study Association Flow

Flow is the study association for all students who study Communication and Information Sciences (CIS), Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAI), Data Science and Society (DSS) at Tilburg University. Flow was founded in 2002 to make the student lives of CIS, CSAI, and DSS students easier and more fun through all kinds of activities. At the moment, more than 15 years later, Flow is one of the biggest study associations of Tilburg University. The most important activities that Flow organizes are study related activities, such as selling books with discount, selling summaries to help students study and tutoring students individually or in a group. Moreover, we organize formal activities, such as company visits and workshops to give the students an idea of the work they could be doing when they are finished with their studies. Also, we organize an annual study trip to a foreign country to explore other cultures and habits. Flow also organizes all sorts of informal activities, such as the monthly drink at Klein Café Van Horen Zeggen, activities especially for freshmen and the annual association weekend. Flow keeps in touch with other study associations at Tilburg University and other CIS, CSAI, and DSS associations in other Dutch cities. We also have close connections with the faculty council of Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (TSHD), the board of TSHD, the department of CIS/ CSAI/ DSS, and the student parties of the University Council, to help our students as much as possible.

Talentfocus Studiekeuzeadvies

TalentFocus maakt HBO/WO studiekeuze voor iedereen betaalbaar. Door middel van het door TalentFocus ontwikkelde studiekeuze-onderzoek kunnen HAVO en VWO leerlingen snel en online onderzoeken welke studie nu echt bij hen past. Het online studiekeuze-onderzoek bestaat uit een persoonlijkheidstest voor jongeren (PTA) en een studie-interessetest (SIT). De PTA is gebaseerd op de Big-Five theorie en brengt aan de hand van 24 eigenschappen de persoonlijkheid in kaart. De inhoud en het taalgebruik is specifiek afgestemd op de belevingswereld van jongeren. In de rapportage staan de persoonlijke kwaliteiten en uitdagingen en worden overwegingen meegeven om in achterhoofd te houden bij de studiekeuze. De SIT is de enige studiekeuzetest in Nederland die daadwerkelijk de interesse in studie-inhoud meet. In de test is (objectieve) informatie over meer dan 300 HBO en WO studies verwerkt. Doordat de test adaptief is kunnen de interesses op een efficiente en diepgaande wijze onderzocht worden. In de rapportage staan de verschillende HBO en WO studies op basis van hun interesse-score gerangschikt, zodat snel overzicht verkregen wordt, TalentFocus maakt studiekeuze eenvoudiger!

The Hague International Model United Nations Thimun Foundation

The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) started small, as a local MUN conference in The Hague in 1968. More than half a century later, THIMUN has become a global leader in the MUN community. We organize four yearly MUN conferences (THIMUN The Hague,THIMUN Singapore, THIMUN Qatar and MINIMUN) as well as other regular MUN-related events throughout the world, and more are coming. We provide support for countless other MUN conferences on all continents save Antarctica, and maintain a prestigious affiliation programme. We enjoy Roster Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and lobby for the sake of the MUN programme. Attendants of THIMUN conferences aims to seek, through discussion, negotiation and debate, solutions to the various problems of the world: e.g. questions of human rights, protection of the environment, economic development, disarmament, the problems of youth and of refugees, as well as the more criticaln issues of war and peace. The young delegates, in seeking solutions to these problems, can learn to break away from narrow, national self-interest and develop true international cooperation. The research and preparation required, the adoption of views and attutudes other than their own, the involvement and interaction with so many other young people from around the world, all combine to give the young people a deep insight into the world’s problems, to make them aware of the causes of conflict between nations and to lead them to a better understanding of interests and motivation of others. Thus the THIMUN Foundation, through its conferences and educational programs, attempts to fulfill the aims and goals set by the founders of the United Nations in the Preamble to the Charter of the United Nations:"…to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbours"
