Nga Tawa Diocesan School
Nga Tawa Diocesan School is an all girls secondary boarding and day school located in Marton, New Zealand. Nga Tawa Diocesan School was founded in 1891 on a principle of empowering girls to achieve extraordinary outcomes in their lives beyond school. As an all-girls school, Nga Tawa offers a culture and environment in which girls can be girls, grow up at their own pace, and have the freedom to be who they want to be. Being a small school is one of our great strengths because it allows us to guide each of our girls as they make the transformation into young adults. Small class sizes mean students can develop strong relationships with teachers and teachers can be more responsive to the needs of individuals. It’s all part of a complete education experience that has again put Nga Tawa in the top tier of NCEA achievement. In 2020, our girls achieved a 100% pass rate at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. 100% of those Year 13 students achieved University Entrance. Slicker Stickers Nz
Now owned by Qizzle in Christchurch. Can ship countrywide. Roulston Labels - custom labels, was sold to Labelshop in Albany. We also recommend Triarc in Hastings, and Sticky Business. Founded in September 1981, Slicker Stickers had a humble beginning with a catalogue of just 8 designs. Our focus was always on ensuring the highest quality, and we felt we could achieve this by starting out small. The company was created to serve the niche market of printing merit stickers, certificates, rewards and awards as important teacher resources. In fact, we were the first company in New Zealand to offer such products. Our first marketing campaign was directed towards teachers and delivered to them via mail order. Far beyond our expectations and as a testament to the quality of our products, we received enthusiastic response from our initial customers. Our initial offering was small – our catalogue contained only 8 sticker designs that customers could choose from. Taking a cue from the healthy response we were receiving, we decided to expand our catalogue to include different categories of stickers. However, Slicker Stickers did not stop there. We added other merit items like certificates, ribbons and testamurs. Today, our vast collection of school stickers can be grouped under four categories – Chart Seals, Stars, General Stickers and Recognition. What’s more – if you are not satisfied with our designs, you can send us your custom designs and we will gladly customize the sticker, ribbon or testa’mur certificate according to your specifications. Since 1981, our goal has been to provide teachers and schools with a fun and interesting way to promote learning and hard work. The quality of our products has rewarded us with a loyal customer base. In 2008, we started using full color A4 size printed catalogues. Before this, our collections were displayed on the “big black poster” that was hung up in staffrooms.

Ysar - Youth Search And Rescue
YSAR is a comprehensive, long-term, development, and community learning program designed to foster the future workforce of Search and Rescue (SAR) and Emergency Management (EM). The program facilitates mentoring youth by committed volunteer adults and provides an environment in which youth can form close-knit peer groups. Leaders for the program are selectively vetted and scrutinized for their suitability in order to run the program effectively. Anecdotal evidence suggests that YSAR yields positive outcomes for youth, with parents reporting that the program has a profound impact on their children's lives. Furthermore, past participants have gone on to pursue careers in related fields, attesting to the success of the program in developing and cultivating the next generation of SAR and EM professionals. The program's potential outcomes extend beyond search and rescue and emergency management skills and encompass leadership and management skills, as well as improved self-esteem, self-efficacy, and civic responsibility. YSAR's strategic direction entails establishing YSAR as a national organization and initiating the formation of regional groups throughout New Zealand in partnership with the SAR and EM sectors. The program promotes engagement and career pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by exposing students aged between 14-18 years to real-world application of science and technology within the SAR and EM sectors. Innovation projects are utilized to enhance their STEM skills, with a view to placing a higher value on technology within society through community engagement. By demonstrating the relevance of science and technology to their lives, community, and cultures, students cognitively engage with their applications, increasing their skills and uptake of STEM careers, including promoting those from less receptive demographics.
