Fundația Progres prin Educație a fost înființată în urmă cu 5 ani, în București, ca răspuns și ca soluție la problemele cu care se confrunta (și se confruntă, încă) sistemul educațional românesc. Este deja un fapt bine cunoscut acela că țara noastră se află la finalul clasamentului în topul investițiilor făcute de stat pentru învățământ. Chiar dacă bugetul a crescut, banii alocați pentru educație au fost, constant, cu mult sub nivelul de 6% din PIB (procent stabilit de guvernanţi în anul 2007). Avem cele mai mici investiții în educația unui elev din Europa, cele mai mici salarii pentru profesori și lista de superlative poate continua, din nefericire, destul de mult. Membrii Fundației Progres prin Educație știu, însă, că schimbarea trebuie să vină prin ei înșiși și prin toți cei care vor să se implice în proiecte educaționale, care să contribuie, pe termen lung, la dezvoltarea României.

King's Oak British International School

Combinând inițiativa studenților cu resursele facultății și suportul partenerilor din mediul de business, reușim să transpunem în practică diferite proiecte, ce creează un impact pozitiv asupra celor implicați. Proiectele noastre își propun să vină cu o viziune nouă, pe termen lung și adaptată nevoilor studenților. Aproape orice student care identifica o nevoie și ia inițiativa, are oportunitatea să își pună ideea în practică în cadrul platformei noastre, fie că este sau nu membru Minds Hub. Ce oferim? Dezvoltare autentică întrucât se bazează pe nevoile studenților identificate chiar de către aceștia. Minds Hub = O voce a studenților pentru studenți. Studentul zilelor noastre are nevoie să fie auzit, să îi fie auzite nevoile. De mute ori, inițiativa sa nu este încurajată suficient pentru a ajunge la rezultatul dorit. Prin urmare, ne propunem să reprezentăm un sprijin pentru fiecare student, atât în promovarea, cât și în implementarea inițiativei sale. Îi încurajăm să se adreseze nouă, să se implice proactiv împreună cu noi în soluționarea problemei, iar noi îi oferim expunerea ideii, dar mai ales, expunerea sa personală, bine meritată. Activitățile realizate sub sigla Minds Hub sunt menite să completeze cunoștințele dobândite de student la ore cu practica aplicată și expunere în mediul de business, dar urmând un proces creativ și interactiv.

Superteach

Ce este SuperTeach? SuperTeach a fost creat pentru a stimula descoperirea și dezvoltarea măreției, a talentului și potențialului în fiecare copil și a plecat de la ideea de transformare a mediului educațional astfel încât acest scop să fie atins plecând chiar de la motorul care dă viață acestui sistem: profesorii. Proiectul SuperTeach stimulează dorința profesorilor de a fi cei care inițiază și construiesc această schimbare printr-un proces în trei pași: 1. Conferințele SuperTeach – organizate în marile orașe din țară, cu durata de o zi. Aici, profesorii intră în contact cu antreprenori, oameni de business și alte cadre didactice care au aplicat cu succes metode inovatoare de predare și de la care își pot lua doza necesară de inspirație. Programul de formare Mentalitatea Deschisă în Educație (MDE) – un program al Institutului Arbinger, lider mondial în schimbarea mentalităților, și care, în premieră mondială, este implementat la nivelul unui sistem educațional național. În România, este susținut de Institutul Dezvoltării Personale (IDP), fiind un curs certificat, în urma căruia profesorii participanți vor obține acreditare. Ulterior, ei pot parcurge și modulul Formare de Formatori, care le oferă oportunitatea de a deveni traineri pentru alți profesori interesați de program. Programul de formare pentru profesori este complet GRATUIT. Profesorii-formatori SuperTeach creează comunități locale de profesori cu mentalitate deschisă, motivați și pasionați de ceea ce fac, și devin factor de schimbare pentru colegii lor și pentru comunitatea în care trăiesc. Școala SuperTeach: Școală pilot care parcurge programul de formare și implementare a mentalității deschise în educație, implicând profesori, părinți și elevi. Asociatia Valentina Romania

In the Romanian capital city, the contrast between the neighbourhoods is striking. Throughout the visits and explorations of Bucharest, a harsh social reality can be perceived. The Valentina Romania association is located in the Sector 5, in Ferentari. The day-centre, called Casa Valentina, is open during the week to help out the children to pursue a normal scholarship. The objective is to support them so they can live a better future. Concretely, 40 children are helped out each day for their homework, to have creative and artistic activities, to receive a meal. Their families are also accompanied in a social and professional reinsertion. Valentina Romania also helps out 60 children in pre-scholarship (kindergarten). In total, the association therefore supports 100 children, which represents 80 families. The financing of the association only comes from private funds and donations from individuals, foundations and companies.
