Reading Partners empowers community volunteers to provide one-on-one reading instruction to elementary school students reading below grade level to help them succeed in reading and in life. We are a national education nonprofit working with Title I elementary schools to support students who are reading six months to two-and-a-half years below grade level. Reading Partners recruits and trains more than community volunteers, annually, to deliver a highly effective, research-validated curriculum. GOING TO SCALE • Reading Partners received a highly competitive growth investment from the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation and the Social Innovation Fund. Reading Partners is also managing a second Social Innovation Fund sub-grant supported by Mile High United Way in Colorado. • This investment helped Reading Partners grow from a few schools in California to over 160 schools across eight states and the District of Columbia.
