Partnership is open to all interested schools, organizations, and individuals but it does not by itself imply endorsement by PSE of their policies and practices. VISION We are the leading science high school in the Asia Pacific Region preparing our scholars to become globally competitive Filipino scientists equipped with 21st-century skills and imbued with the core values of Integrity, Excellence and Service to Nation. MISSION Advancing premier high school STEM education for the people. In 1963, the Republic Act (R.A.) 3661 established the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) to offer a scholarship on secondary education with emphasis on science to prepare students for a science career. The first campus operated in Diliman, Quezon City. In 1998, by virtue of R.A. 8496, the PSHS System was created to harmonize the operations of four existing PSHS campuses: Diliman (now Main Campus), Eastern Visayas, Western Visayas, and Southern Mindanao. Three years later, R.A. 9036 was enacted to establish one PSHS campus in every region in the country that will provide a globally-competitive education to a diverse population of Filipino youth. By 2016, the PSHS System is comprised of 16 campuses around the country. The PSHS System is an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The Board of Trustees (BOT), with the DOST Secretary as the Chairman, is the highest policy-making body of the PSHS System. The Office of the Executive Director acts as the central office for systemwide communication, collaboration, policy implementation, and monitoring of operations of PSHS campuses. The Executive Director leads the Executive Committee (ExeCom) composed of the Campus Directors. The ExeCom is a collegial body that recommends policies and guidelines for the consideration of the BOT.

Pasay City National Science High School
With the issuance of DECS Order No. 69 series of 1993, the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports started the creation of various science high schools that aims to provide a more intensive and advanced secondary education program with special reference to science, mathematics, and the communication arts. On May 2002, a memorandum was issued by then Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rosalinda V. Tongco to Mayor Wenceslao “Peewee” B. Trinidad provided that a science high school be established. Taking action, the City Council of Pasay, led by former Vice Mayor Antonino G. Calixto formally passed a resolution creating its own science high school. On June 17, 2002, Pasay City Science High School (PCSciHS) was launched at the Gabaldon Building of Padre Burgos Elementary School. In February 2004, the city government of Pasay granted its permanent site with an area of 2,080 sq. m. at P. Vergel Street, Pasay City. Then, on September 15, 2005, PCSciHS was recognized by the DepEd-NCR Regional Office together with the local government of Pasay as an independent school from being an annex of Pasay City West High School. On September 29, 2017, the Pasay City National Science High School was established by virtue of Republic Act 10829 or An Act Establishing a National Science High School in the City of Pasay which was signed by former president Benigno Simeon Aquino, in 2016.
