Keep Winter Haven Clean & Beautiful (KWHCB) organizational purpose is to encourage individuals to take greater responsibility and action to enhance their community environment. By inspiring citizens to act regularly to improve the overall quality of life in their community through neighborhood and lake cleanup, revitalization and beautification projects, and allowing for protection and preservation of natural resources. Through education and social media, we want to heighten awareness of the lakes and incorporate litter prevention, recycling and environmental stewardship into our activities to keep the lakes clean and beautiful. Local volunteers participate in cleanup events that remove and recycle approximately pounds of litter annually with Project E.A.G.L.E. Keep Winter Haven Clean & Beautiful works with a volunteer force to carry out its projects. It is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of community leaders and residents from the Winter Haven area. KWHC & B is funded through in-kind and financial contributions from individuals, businesses, industries, local organizations and is supported by the City of Winter Haven. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. KWHC & B is a non-profit, community service organization dedicated to keeping our community clean and beautiful. Currently serving over residents in the Greater Winter Haven area, KWHC & B forms partnerships with other organizations to promote cleaner and greener communities.
