In South Africa & Australia natural selection is made strongly in favour of these attributes because offspring that are properly cared for by their mothers will do likewise for their own progeny. Through the years of native selection processes, only the fittest Kalahari Goats mothers have survived. Purebred Kalahari Goat does are fertile and produce plenty of milk, & as a result, the offspring grow fast and outpace others. Newborn offspring are strong and have a strong urge to suck. They breed all year round & will drop three times every two years.
