The Station is one of the most historic pastoral stations in Queensland while still being an active farm. Originally bought by William Henry Young on the 26th of April 1911, Kahmoo has seen and lived the stories of five generations of family history. Kahmoo Station is a acre block of history located 20 kilometres outside Cunnamulla in far Western Queensland. It is primarily involved in the commercial farming of 'meat' sheep known as the Australian White, though still heavily involved in stud ram operations, organic sheep and cattle husbandry. On average, Kahmoo is the home to roughly sheep and 350 head of cattle as well as the owners who care for them, Kym Thomas, Greg Dunsdon, and Tony Reid. Many sustainable initiatives have been put in place at Kahmoo to both protect the natural environment and make it more sustainable for both now and future generations.

Parabug Australia

Parabug is a patents pending tool to bring about the greater use of biological control of agricultural pests. Agricultural pests can wreak havoc, destroying a harvest and potentially threatening crops throughout expansive growing areas. Unfortunately, the option to apply beneficial organisms to combat invasive pests can be costly, labor-intensive, time consuming and inaccurate. Given that the world population will be increasing exponentially; novel solutions must be made to effectively provide the world with a reliable, safe, affordable, and sustainable food supply. Now with drone technology and Parabug, it is possible to complete the same task in a fraction of the time, and at a far less cost than doing it by hand. The use of beneficial organisms forms a part of integrated pest management, combining cultural, biological and chemical means to achieve sustainable pest management. The current industry standard for application of biologicals comes with an intense labour requirement, lack of precision, and lack of timeliness. The application of biologicals by hand is not only labour intensive but poses other problems which result in a higher cost of application. For example, the high cost comes from not only time and related hourly wages but also from general and workers compensation insurance, and the opportunity cost of not using limited labour for other essential activities. The solution to elevate the use of biologicals is the Parabug system. Parabug uses remote piloted aircraft (RPA) or "drones", for the distribution of biologicals, granulars, and other agricultural materials. The Parabug system provides for rapid, timely and cost effective dispersal.
