We're Bec and Paul from Lone Goose Farm. New to Tasmania and to farming, we made the move (and giant leap of faith) because we’re passionate about sustainable, regenerative and ethical food production. It’s all about taste and animal welfare for us - we believe if you’re going to eat meat, be sure that animal has had the best life possible, it will come through in the flavour. We’re currently building our breeding flock of Muscovy ducks, and should be selling at local Farmers Markets and to restaurants across Tassie just in time for Christmas in 2020. If you haven’t tried Muscovy duck then you’re missing out! Muscovy has a delicious flavour, is larger, and is slightly leaner than commercial birds. We're on a vertical learning curve at the moment, but what we lack in agricultural experience, we make up for in determination and tenacity! We do get to apply our previous work experience every single day at the farm, and feel that those skills are equally as important as the agricultural ones. So we'll be sharing them here from time to time.

Orchard Citrus

Orchard Citrus is our boutique size, third generation farming business. We are Australian owned and operated by Tim & Jennifer Ulcoq and family. We are located in Gayndah, Queensland, Australia on the banks of the Burnett River, where we produce sustainable premium citrus. While the majority of our fruit is packed commercially, over a period of 12 years we have developed a strong customer base selling our produce direct to the public at farmers markets. Here we sell un-waxed, tree-ripened citrus including many varieties of mandarins, lemons, limes, grapefruits and oranges. When available we also sell kaffir limes, kaffir lime leaves and cumquats. Farm Tours & Experiences at Pearson's Farm At Pearson’s Farm, every visit is unique. We offer a wide range of animal experiences — and the best part is, you get to choose what you want to do. You might decide to: Spend time with all the animals across the farm, or Focus on your favourites — our gentle Highlander cows, the world’s cutest Blacknose Valais sheep, or our playful kangaroo joeys. It’s completely up to you, and you can even decide on the day. Every visit is a little different, and no two experiences are ever the same. All proceeds go directly back into caring for our rescued animals. We would also love it if you could bring a piece of fruit for our animals — especially Kevin Bacon, our pig!

Rohde Egg Co. is a free range egg producer located in South Australia and consists of two farms. Rohde’s Free Range Eggs is the family’s original farm. Based at Tarlee, the farm has capacity for chickens. Founded in 1957, the business has grown across three generations of the Rohde family. The farm is one of only two RSPCA Approved egg producers in Australia. Blewitt Springs Free Range Eggs was acquired in 2023 to enable the business to grow. The hen farm is beautifully located, surrounded by vineyards.
