Entreprise apicole possédant une certification biologique avec un cheptel de plus de 100 ruches localisées près du Mont-Orignal à Lac-Etchemin et à l’aéroport de Saint-Georges de Beauce. La miellerie et savonnerie sont situées dans la municipalité de Lac-Etchemin au Québec. Tous les produits sont fabriqués à la main sur place : miels bruts certifiés biologiques, plusieurs produits gourmands faits à partir de miel, produits forestiers non ligneux, savons artisanaux, baumes à lèvres à la cire d’abeilles, cosmétiques naturels, produits de soins apicoles, bougies, bombes de bain au miel, etc. Nous sommes partenaires dans un projet avec l’aéroport de Saint-Georges et Aviation CMP où 15 ruches sont installées afin de produire du miel brut biologique à remettre dans les paniers alimentaires de Moisson Beauce. Douceurs des Appalaches offre bénévolement son expertise pour l’élevage de ces colonies d’abeilles qui appartiennent à 15 généreux donateurs de la Beauce. Nos valeurs nous incitent à faire du maillage afin de créer des produits gourmands de collaboration avec d’autres producteurs locaux. Nous sommes membre Arrêts gourmands, Tourisme Chaudière-Appalaches et Terroir et Saveurs du Québec. Nos produits biologiques sont certifiés par Québec Vrai et Aliments du Québec bio.

The polyfilm design reduces ~143 tonnes of GHG emissions compared to the traditional glass greenhouse. With a year round yield of over 10 crops per year, a small 7,500 sq.ft eGrowth facility produces the eqivalent of sq.ft field.

He’s blushing now, humble and about to tell a joke to distract you… However…the Farm would have grown differently under another’s watchful eye…because… Alan understands Agri-Tourism, is an early adopter, listens to and tells stories of what works and what doesn’t, learning and growing in the off-season, while the Orchard is asleep. Visiting other places [and hosting visiting Farmers as well] watching how others do it, picking and choosing, gleaning what will work best, right here, on this Farm, in this place, at this time, and looking ahead to the future. His influence, extends to the Young Farmers he admires and nurtures, and the rich listening that occurs, when an Old Farmer is telling a story. Both are critical to the path. Its that combination, of sensing the opportunity, and figuring out what will work for the Farm, for the People who work and live there, and how this all plays into a large [very large] contribution to Community. This is our Present and our Future. Each Season [May to September] an International Community gathers here, its a remarkable combination each and every time. They are drawn by the work, the place, their own paths…and they converge here…for 5 magical months, never to be repeated. Hemp Genetics International Inc

Welcome to the world of Hemp Genetics International (HGI)! We focus on developing industrial hemp genetics for grain production. We supply farmers and processors with regionally adapted hemp grain varieties to help reduce production risk and to help grow this exciting new industry. We have been conducting agronomic research and actively farming industrial hemp since its re-introduction into Canada in 1998. Back then, Canada imported varieties from Europe, and farmers struggled to work with non-adapted varieties (way too tall!) in a market that was primarily interested in grain. Recognizing that trying to grow dual-purpose (fiber and grain) varieties would be a barrier to the growth of the hemp grain industry in Canada, we started to develop hemp grain varieties that farmers could grow using existing equipment on their farms. Since then, HGI has contributed significantly to the growth of the Canadian hemp grain industry through improved varieties, advanced seed technology, and a greater understanding of sound agronomic practices that help make industrial hemp a “farmer friendly” crop.
