Every year more than 400 events take place at the Juckerhof in Seegräben (ZH) and the Bächlihof Jona (SG) with around visitors. Furthermore, Jucker Farm is the largest pumpkin producer in Switzerland. The annual pumpkin exhibitions are famous. At least as important is the competence in the organization of various events from large events with several hundred guests, over weddings, company dinners or group outings. Die Industrialisierung der Landwirtschaft und der kommerzielle Druck haben ebenfalls dazu beigetragen, dass seltene oder lokal angepasste Sorten vernachlässigt wurden. Dieser massive Verlust an Vielfalt birgt Risiken für die Langlebigkeit und Widerstandsfähigkeit der Landwirtschaft. Es ist daher wichtig, die genetische Vielfalt in Getreidesorten zu erhalten und wo möglich wiederherzustellen. Das Ziel von Ursaat.ch ist es, alte und genetisch nicht veränderte Getreide, Obst- und Gemüsesorten zu pflegen, zu vermehren und zu vertreiben, sowie das Wissen und die Erfahrung um diese Sorten zu sammeln und an Produzenten, Veredler und den Markt weiterzugeben. Der Gesellschaft ist es ein Anliegen, den gesamten Prozess hindurch, vom Korn bis hin zum Teller der Kunden, die höchste Qualität der Ursaat.ch Produkte sicherzustellen. Daher betreibt die Gesellschaft neben der Sämerei und der Koordination des Anbaus, dem Vertrieb von Saatgut und Mehl auch eine eigene Pastaproduktion.
