Our company was founded in 1960 by Janus Verbeek †. Today it is managed by Adrie Verbeek (second generation), and third-generation family members are also actively involved in the company. We work with seed stock certified by the Netherlands General Inspection Service for Horticulture (NAK-tuinbouw), wich ensures our products are virus-free. We can deliver any type of spring or summer flower in each desired number. WAM Pennings has 20 permanent employees to run the business with. In the busy times 80 season employees are hired to help us to harvest our bulbs and process the harvest. To bring in the harvest we use ten tractors which are full time busy on the country. Also there are driving 20 forklifts around the company to take care of the intern transport. WAM Pennings is a company who uses as less as possible pesticides to protect its crops. We are from the beginning member of Milieu Project Sierteelt which is a Dutch program to look after Dutch companies when it comes to using pesticides.

De Marke in Hengelo (Gld.) werkt aan een nieuwe toekomst. Na 30 jaar gaat proefboerderij De Marke verder als Agro-innovatiecentrum De Marke. Op deze manier stellen we het laatste melkveeproefbedrijf op zandgrond veilig. Dat is nodig, want juist op zandgrond zijn de uitdagingen groot: stikstof, klimaat, biodiversiteit, fosfaat, bodemkwaliteit, waterkwaliteit, grondgebondenheid, kringlooplandbouw etc. Er komt een stortvloed van uitdagingen op boeren af.(Inter)nationaal toonaangevend in kringlooplandbouw De Marke is uniek. Geen proefbedrijf ter wereld heeft over een periode van 30 jaar zo’n complete set aan data en ervaringen over alle facetten van kringlooplandbouw (technisch, economisch, milieukundig). De Marke heeft een sleutelrol gespeeld in het tot stand komen van voor de sector belangrijke instrumenten als de Kringloopwijzer en BEX. De Marke heeft deelgenomen aan een groot aantal nationale en internationale onderzoekstrajecten. Vorig jaar is De Marke door het ministerie van LNV aangewezen als een van de Landelijke Proeftuinen voor Precisielandbouw. De betekenis van De Marke reikt dan ook verder dan alleen de Achterhoek of Oost Nederland. Wat op De Marke ontwikkeld wordt is belangrijk voor de hele Nederlandse melkveehouderij, in het bijzonder die op zandgrond. Maar ook voorbij de landsgrenzen is het onderzoek op De Marke van grote betekenis. Natuurinclusieve kringlooplandbouw wordt ook internationaal een steeds belangrijker thema.

Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat de bodem de basis is voor de planten in je tuin en bijdraagt aan behoud van de natuur. Ook vinden wij dat het niet moeilijk moet zijn om die goede en duurzame basis te leggen. Wij verkopen drie kwalitatief hoogwaardige producten die geschikt zijn voor elke plant en elk type tuin. Onze biologische potgrond, tuinaarde en mestcompost zijn biologisch gecertificeerd en met de grootste zorg samengesteld. Wij gaan hierin verder dan een certificaat. Zo gebruiken we geen tuinturf en richten we ons op hoogwaardige soorten compost. We stellen de producten zelf samen, onder toezicht van certificeerder Control Union. Ook staan wij als enige producent van potgrond, tuinaarde en compost op de inputlijst van SKAL. We vullen de producten in big bags of zakken en laten deze door onze vervoerder bij je thuis afleveren. Onze producten zijn vanuit de praktijk ontstaan op onze biologische vaste planten kwekerij (kwekerij van Houtum) in Doorn.

Boomkwekerij Frowein
Frowein Al ruim 25 jaar kweken wij laan, inheemse bomen en struiken van uitstekende kwaliteit op zo’n 55 hectare leemhoudende zandgrond in Noord-Oost Brabant. Met ons team van 12 boomkwekers kweken we bomen in de maten van 10-12 tot 40-45. Ons productieproces is de afgelopen jaren geperfectioneerd en vertaald naar een stappenplan zodat kwaliteit en volledigheid is geborgd. Service & advies Service staat bij ons hoog in het vaandel en we delen onze kennis graag met de klant. Door het geven van passend advies zorgen we ervoor dat de beste beplantingskeuze wordt gemaakt. We vinden het belangrijk dat u weet wat u koopt. Daarnaast zorgen we ervoor dat de beplanting voorzien wordt van etiketten en dat alle gewenste beplanting compleet wordt aangeleverd. Door de hoge mechanisatiegraad kunnen wij onze klanten korte levertijden garanderen! Betrouwbare herkomst Frowein biedt inheemse bomen van een betrouwbare herkomst. Autochtone bomen worden met uitsterven bedreigd waardoor ecologische processen verstoord raken. Wij zijn dan ook voorstander van het herintrdocureren van autochtone bomen, zodat scheefgroei in ecologische processen wordt teruggedrongen. Onze bomen en struiken met autochtone herkomst zijn afkomstig van de genenbank van Staatsbosbeheer en worden gecertificeerd door Selectplant.
