Our three south Auckland stores are located in Drury, Karaka and Takanini putting us within a short drive of everyone from Howick south to the Bombay Hills. All of our stores are open Monday to Friday and on Saturday mornings. Poultry feed has become a very important part of Animal Stuff’s product line. We stock Takanini Feeds’s famous Chook Chow which was developed from an old family recipe. The basic mix of NZ grains and soya meal has remained true to the original recipe however the micro ingredients have been refined over the years with the help of nutritionist Ash Gibbs of Vitec Nutrition. This ensures that Chook Chow has the best possible blend of grains, minerals, amino acids, lime, calcium and oyster shell grit to deliver a complete perfectly balanced diet for backyard poultry enthusiasts.

Potatoes New Zealand became incorporated in 2012, previously it had been operating as a product group within Horticulture New Zealand. Potatoes New Zealand has three membership types: Grower Members are actively engaged in the production of potatoes in New Zealand for commercial processing, domestic fresh market, export, or seed who, in the preceding 12-month period, have paid a levy pursuant to the Commodity Levies (Potatoes) Order 2013. Grower Members have full voting rights. Trade Members are actively engaged in processing, trading or retailing New Zealand grown potatoes or potato product. Trade Members have voting rights but not Levy Voting rights. Associate Members are associated with the potato industry and are engaged in supplying services to Grower members or Trade members. Association Members do not have voting rights.

What is our philosophy? We believe strongly in the importance of the grower. All CropCheck staff are required to have regular personal contact with their assigned growers and advisers. Growers will be advised immediately of pest problems. Our monitoring staff are carefully selected, NZ Avocado AvoGreen Certified and trained, in the skills necessary to assist growers. Monitoring staff have the best possible training backed up by accurate and efficient data administration systems. CropCheck provide the information growers require about major and minor pests, plus beneficial insects. We aim to be “best practice” for the industry.
