Monte da Pêra Brava is a 64 hectare farm in the southern Portugal region of Alentejo. Since the dawn of the agricultural age, humans have been denuding the exceptionally rich ecosystem of the Earth's top soil by tilling it. Our goal for the farm is to mimic nature and let life flourish in all its forms. We will do this by turning the land into silvopasture, a harmonious mix of trees, grassland and grazing animals. We will employ regenerative ideas such as Adaptive Multi-Paddock grazing, diverse cover crops and minimizing soil disturbance and artificial inputs. A Hypha AG project.

A Herdade da TERRA RICA é já uma referência nas áreas agrícola, pecuária e florestal, sendo propriedade da família Gherardi e tendo na sua génese os valores de vida, tradição e prosperidade. Enquadrada geograficamente entre duas cidades com um património cultural muito vasto, a Herdade da TERRA RICA está a cerca de 30 km de Montemor-o-Novo e de Alcácer do Sal. Em breve pretendemos elevar a potencialidade do nosso espaço associando-o ao conceito de Country House Retreat.

Plantalgarve Viveiros Agrícolas

Founded in 1985, Plantalgarve was the first nursery of its kind to be established in Portugal with the purpose to produce plants in quantity and quality for an iceberg lettuce export project to England. Nowadays it is a family enterprise that is dedicated to the production of vegetable, herb plants, and ornamental potted plants such as chrysanthemum and poinsettia. Plantalgarve is located in the ALGARVE on the outskirts of Faro about 1km from the A22, exit 14, and 11 km from Faro and airport. The location has excellent weather conditions for young plant production as it profits from a number of daylight hours that can be superior to as well as mild temperatures in the winter which reduce frost risk. The nursery has a total of 7 hectares of which 4 are covered by greenhouses. For horticultural plants and aromatics, we have a capacity of trays at each rotation. The production is controlled environmentally through side and top ventilation, hot air generators, climate screens, air extractors and fog system. With our own transportation means we deliver plants in Portugal as well as the south of Spain. In order to satisfy our increasingly demanding markets and ensure our client´s trust, Plantalgarve was certified by SGS in 2008 with ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Plantalgarve is continuously adapting to the agri-food industry by meeting the industry latest standards. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES 1 – Vegetable and herb plant trays Vegetable and herb plugs are produced in polystyrene trays with a number of cells ranging from 50 to 338. • Types of trays 50 cells – 110.07cm3 98 cells – 44.68 cm3 128 cells – 34.14cm3 180 cells – 28.12cm3 242 cells – 18.88cm3 Our main crops are tomato and pepper for fresh market and industries, leeks, melons for greenhouse and open-air production. Recently there has been an increasing demand on herbs and medicinal plants in trays; we produce also some specie We also grow these plants in organic production.
