The Drift Farm
The Drift farm is a small family owned farm tucked into the rugged, quartz-rich Akkedisberg Mountain range near the sleepy hamlet of Napier in the spectacular Overberg Highlands. We are certified as organic 2nd year in conversion, looking forward to being fully certified organic next year. We don’t use chemical fertilisers or pesticides, opting instead for less harmful alternatives. Our plants are root-fed with earthworm water from our own earthworm farm, and we use compost and mulch. We complement this with compost teas that we add systemically, and we activate the compost with a concoction of stinging nettles, comfrey, chamomile and yarrow.
