Kawu
Kawu is shaping a financially inclusive generation by offering youths in African schools with tools to save and create digital financial records through a NEO Bank tailored for African students. Transfer of funds from parents to their children in African Schools is a challenge which involves parents travelling to the school to physically deliver upkeep which is not only costly but time consuming or alternatively a student has to request a staff member around the school campus to allow their upkeep be sent through them. Parents also lack an efficient way to monitor and manage their children's financial status, expenditure and savings when at school. In addition, safety of the received money is not guaranteed, poor financial discipline/expenditure among students is overwhelming and teachers offer their services at no reward. Based on this background, it's therein that KAWU, a five dimensional fin tech solution that addresses money transfer, safety, expenditure, saving challenges amongst students and as well offering an alternative source of income to the school staff as agents. has been designed. With just the Kawu Smart Card, students can now directly receive money, pay for goods & services, Save and maintain their financial history, and with the use of the Kawu App, parents can set withdraw Limits, always stay in the know of the transactions taking place on the cards and financially interact with their children anytime, anywhere.
