Zouk Mikael Municipality
Zouk Mikael, located on the coast between Beirut and Byblos in Keserwan District, is named the City of Peace by UNESCO, and enjoys sweeping views from the sea from a height if about 275 meters. Among the town’s most important features is the Ottoman-era Old Souk of Zouk, which was renovated in 1995 as a pedestrian area with artisanal arcade shops, restaurants, terrace and gardens. Among Zouk Mikael’s most famous artisanal products are its textile, woven on traditional looms, as well as its marzipan sweets made with almond and sugar dough. The town hosts a number of monasteries and historic churches, such as the Saint George Church, and is also home to an open-air, Roman-style amphitheater where live summer concerts and the Zouk Mikael Annual Festival take place.

The Embassy encourages Danish companies to explore business opportunities as Lebanon needs Danish know-how and Danish capabilities in different infrastructure projects particularly, which will become particular evident in the new Gas & Oil industry.

Institut Français Du Liban
L’Institut français du Liban instigateur de l’action culturelle et linguistique de la France au Liban, est un service de l'Ambassade de France au Liban. L’Institut français du Liban dispose du réseau le plus dense d’implantations dans le monde avec neuf sites régionaux pour un territoire de 10 452 km². On trouve deux sites dans la plaine de la Bekaa, à Baalbeck et à Zahlé, trois dans le Sud, à Tyr, Nabatieh et Saïda, une antenne dans le Chouf à Deir el Qamar, une dans le Nord du pays à Tripoli et deux dans la région de Beyrouth (Jounieh et Beyrouth). A Beyrouth, il est situé dans l’Espace des Lettres dans le quartier du Musée National de Beyrouth, et coordonne l’ensemble des opérations menées dans le pays. Il a connu plusieurs appellations successives : Centre Culturel Français, Mission Culturelle française au Liban puis Institut français du Liban depuis le 1er octobre 2011. L'Institut français du Liban est partenaire des institutions, des médias et des sociétés libanaises dans tous les domaines de la Coopération et de l’action culturelle et linguistique.

Bekaa Water Establishment currently provides water supply services to an estimated population of 525,066 people, and limited irrigation services in the areas of Yammouneh and Deir Al Ahmar. The population officially registered as customers of the Establishment, and receiving water supply service (Service Coverage), represents approximately 69% of the estimated total population within the service area of BWE. The Establishments work under special regulations and are steered by the Oversight Department of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW). The MEW is also in charge of monitoring water resources and the measurement of flows, estimation of water needs, allocation of water resources in all the regions, inspection and monitoring of surface and ground water quality, and estimation of ground water storage capacities. Currently, BWE serves a geographic area of approximately square kilometers that is organized, for service and management purposes, into eleven water supply “Branches.
