The Educational, Research and Treatment Center for Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Diseases of Dr. Masih Deneshvari was established in 1941 AH by the efforts of Mirza Ali Asghar Khan Aminol Sultan in the northernmost part of Tehran that year (former Shah Abad and present Dar Abad) and on the recommendation of French doctors Mozaffaruddin Shah who was suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis at that time. It was established. After the death of Mozaffaruddin Shah and during the first Pahlavi period, this center, which remained unused, was turned into a nursing home and a nursing school with the efforts of Dr. Masih Daneshvari. Subsequently, in the 20s, various buildings and departments were built in this center by the then Ministry of Health and some individuals. In 1986 this center was under Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. In 1371, the Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis Research Center was established in the premises of Masih Daneshvari Medical Center, and in 1998, the research center and hospital were merged under the title of Masih Daneshvari Educational, Research and Treatment Center for Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Diseases. The tuberculosis and pulmonary diseases research center of this center has 9 different departments and is known as the selected scientific pole of the country regarding pulmonary diseases and tuberculosis.
