The legacy a loved one leaves behind will always be a part of our lives and saying goodbye to a loved one is a very emotional experience. Currently, municipal cemeteries do not offer any comfort in this regard. They are simply a harsh reminder of death. Wiesenhof Legacy Parks extends over 300ha & is South Africa's first private nature reserve. The entire park is securely fenced & access is strictly controlled by our security office. The property is part of a trust and funded by a percentage of each sale which will ensure that the property is maintained in perpetuity. The burial area is laid out in such a manner that the natural beauty of the landscape is embraced. Unlike traditional cemeteries our coverage is at most 20%, as opposed to 80 - 90 %. The burial and ash plots are not marked with large tombstones, but rather with an indigenous tree or natural stone marker, which serves as a living memorial. This also contributes to rehabilitating the land & creating a bio-diverse zone where nature may continue to flourish. We truly believe that in a Legacy Park, nature lives & memories never die.
