Norris Studio
Interior designer Samantha Feuer named her company Norris Studio in honor of the East Tennessee town where she grew up. Surrounded by grand vistas of the Smoky Mountains, Norris played a major role in forming the interior designer’s visual aesthetic. “I’m very connected to what’s outside the window,” she says. “I believe that when the interior and exterior speak to one another, you’ve created a truly magical space.” Samantha has a deep background in creating commercial spaces that are durable and functional without feeling cold and private homes that tell the story of the residents through their design. She honed this skill as a longtime senior member of the award-winning design team at East Tennessee’s Blackberry Farm, the luxury resort and hotel known for its elegant but accessible style. Of particular note is Samantha’s work at the resort’s alpine outpost, Blackberry Mountain, which opened in 2018. There, her keen eye and leadership was instrumental in developing the resort’s rustic-chic design vernacular, marked by a deft use of color and texture, clean lines and modern style elements, and original work from local and national artists — one of Samantha’s enduring signatures. Early in her career, Samantha worked for the Paris-based design house Hamilton Conte. Upon her return to the States, Samantha joined the Blackberry Farm design team as a Senior Interior Designer, eventually becoming the Assistant Director of Design before leaving in 2022 to open Norris Studio.
