Main Library and twenty regional, community and neighborhood branch libraries. We also serve the needs of the community with Talking Books Library for Disabled Customers and an active adult literacy program. The system directly serves residents and employees of Duval County both within the Jacksonville city limits and the Beaches and Baldwin communities. Vision Statement The Ann Arbor District Library provides collections, programs, and leadership to promote the development of literate and informed citizens through open and equal access to cultural, intellectual, recreational, and information resources. Mission Statement The existence of the Ann Arbor District Library assures public ownership of print collections, digital resources, and gathering spaces for the citizens of the library district. We are committed to sustaining the value of public library services for the greater Ann Arbor community through the use of traditional and innovative technologies. The Ann Arbor District Library provides services at no charge to all residents living within the Ann Arbor District Library's service area. Library services are available to all others outside this service area for a fee. Over 8.8 million items have circulated system-wide during recent fiscal years. In addition to these items, thousands of people enter the library and its branches to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s fiber-optic connection, enjoy state-of-the-art Wi-fi service, participate in computer and Internet training, view a Library exhibit, or attend one of the Library’s many events. The Ann Arbor District Library (AADL) system is composed of the Downtown Library and four branch libraries: Malletts Creek, Traverwood, Westgate, and Pittsfield.

Arlington Heights Memorial Library
The Arlington Heights Memorial Library (AHML) is one of the busiest single-building libraries in the country. For the 11th time (in 2022), AHML received a five-star rating in Library Journal's national rating of public libraries, a designation received by only 10 public libraries nationwide, and only three in Illinois in the AHML budget category. The library serves a population of Arlington Heights residents, as well as customers that visit from neighboring communities. Brooklyn Public Library
Established in 1896, Brooklyn Public Library is the nation’s sixth largest public library system and currently has nearly active cardholders. The Library is among the city’s most democratic civic institutions, serving patrons in every neighborhood and from every walk of life. With 59 branch libraries, one within a half-mile of nearly all of Brooklyn’s 2.6 million residents, BPL is a recognized leader in cultural offerings, literacy, after-school services, workforce development programs and digital literacy. In a borough of wide economic disparity, where the costs of basic necessities often take priority over spending on cultural enrichment opportunities, BPL provides a space where patrons of all economic standings can access cultural and educational programs in a broad range of disciplines. The American Library Association’s 2014 Public Library Data Service Statistical Report ranked BPL third in the nation among public libraries for public programs offered and program attendance. In BPL’s collection includes 3.4 million print materials and more than eBooks. Digital materials, including eBooks, eAudiobooks and eVideos are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Innovative new programs, including tablet lending, MyLibraryNYC and an online readers’ advisory service, have further increased the Library’s reach in Brooklyn’s communities. The Library’s governing body is the Board of Trustees, consisting of 38 members all serving in non-salaried positions. More than volunteers give their time, talent and energy to support BPL’s programs and operations each year, contributing over hours annually. The Library also greatly benefits from its 17 Friends Groups, which carry out important projects and engage in advocacy and fundraising initiatives.
