Community Library
The Community Library serves the six townships and two villages that comprise the Big Walnut Local School District, a population estimated to be around The Community Library's mission is to provide welcoming environments for all to pursue knowledge and cultivate interests. To that end, the library provides a collection containing approximately books, eBooks, 250 magazines, 6,500 movies, 1,800 music CDs, 3,500 audiobooks. The library also provides free Internet access and Wi-Fi to its patrons. Patrons may also access research databases. Meeting rooms, computers, laptops, a photocopier, fax machine and typewriter are also available for patron use. In addition to providing access to print and electronic resources to fulfill its mission, Community Library also provides engaging, high-quality, family-centered programming for patrons of all ages. ABOUT GERBER/HART Gerber/Hart Library and Archives was founded in 1981 on the belief that knowledge is key to dispelling homophobia and the marginalization of sexual and gender minorities. Gerber/Hart collects, preserves, and makes accessible items related to LGBTQ history and culture. Open to everyone, Gerber/Hart is dedicated to promoting research, learning, exploration, and discovery in a safe atmosphere. Focused primarily on the Midwest, Gerber/Hart has grown to become one of the larger independent LGBTQ libraries and archives, containing a 22,500 volume circulating library, 600 periodicals, 700 newsletters, 150 archive collections (980 linear feet), 1,700 linear feet of Special Collections items, and four exhibition venues.
