Our Story Hi-Tec Profiles is one of Western Canada’s leading providers of steel processing services, including profile cutting and bending technology. The firm’s current successes are the result of humble beginnings and a companywide commitment to growth. Three manufacturing professionals who came together collaboratively to address a growing market demand for innovative steel-processing technologies created Hi-Tec. Hi-Tec started out in the Canadian agricultural industry. As the firm quickly expanded, management put forth a plan for further growth and investment. A turning point for Hi-Tec was when we decided to open the opportunity for staff to invest in the company. By enabling staff members to have a greater stake in the firm, Hi-Tec could purchase new equipment and, in turn, create a personally-dedicated team of staff members. We are also proud to have SaskWorks Venture Fund and the Apex fund series, all managed by PFM Capital, as key investors in our success today and into the future. Hi-Tec started out in a foot shop, with one shear, one press break, one torch plasma table, and a grand total of five employees, including counting the president and vice president.
