Units are mainly deployed on mining sites, where our ability to sample mining slurries and present clear process solutions for analysis is one of the key factors for success. Analyzers are designed to cope with real-world harsh plant environments. Analyzers are built to handle dirty power, dust and vibration. Typical enclosures are IP65 GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic). All exposed metal parts are Stainless Steel. When required the equipment is supplied pre-installed in a small insulated cabin. The cabin can be fitted with an optional air-conditioner for hot climates, or heater for cold climates. We have experience in coping with all temperature extremes. All our analyzers offer industry standard signal interfaces to the plant process computers. Various PLC/DCS bus interfaces are available, as are OPC drivers. Our analyzers have proven track records. We only use analytical methods that are proven, reliable and drift free in plant environments. Our units are designed to need minimal routine maintenance. They run automatic self-cleaning cycles that further reduce the maintenance effort. The units have low reagent usage.

Qotho Minerals was established in 2013 with the specific goal to design, implement and operate Proficiency Testing Schemes (PTS), and manufacture and certify Reference Materials for the Minerals Industry, globally. Qotho introduced its first Chrome PT Scheme in June 2013 and has expanded to the point where it currently operates 9 schemes, containing 22 samples in total, 6 times per annum. In the 2018 financial year, the company circulated 1382 PT samples. Participation in our schemes affords each laboratory the unique opportunity to assess the accuracy and comparability of their results with peer laboratories over a given period. As a result of the laboratory-specific information provided by the PT schemes, this evidence can be shared internally with, and used by, plant metallurgists to validate the accuracy of their metallurgical accounting models. Through the scheme, Qotho Reference Materials (QRM’s) are generated, which provide an invaluable tool for further internal monitoring and calibration, for all laboratories involved. Qotho produces matrix-matched reference materials for internal laboratory QA/QC as well as for metallurgical and geological exploration quality control. Qotho is a SANAS ISO 17043 Accredited Proficiency Testing Scheme Provider and a ISO 17034 Accredited Certified Reference Material Producer. Clients: We have expanded our capacity and international presence, currently servicing over 130 laboratories in sub-Saharan Africa and various International countries. Our international client base includes operations in Australia, Botswana, China, DRC, Germany, Mexico, Namibia, The Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Tanzania, USA, UK, Zambia and Zimbabwe, in addition to our well-established client base in South Africa.
