In 1991, the world-renowned primatologist Jane Goodall started an amazing program called “Roots & Shoots.” This program is designed to educate youth about environmental issues and humanitarian values, with a special focus on group interaction. In Shanghai Roots & Shoots was established and granted a non-profit organization status by the Shanghai Municipality Governmen. Adopting Dr Jane Goodall’s values, we help youth attain positive experiences from their community and natural surroundings, understand the symbiotic relationship between beings on earth, and allow them to improve the environment in their own way. Through this, they develop love and respect for nature, animals, the environment, culture, and people. Thus far, Shanghai Roots & Shoots has successfully established over 350 R&S groups in Shanghai and its surrounding provinces, covering both local and international schools in Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Huibei, Guangdong, etc.

World Alcohol Beverage Alliance
The World Alcohol Beverage Alliance (WABA ) was established on September 9, 2014 during the 4th China (Guizhou) International Alcoholic Beverage Expo. The Alliance symbolizes the first official global alcohol beverage organization. It`s goals are to unite members of the alcoholic beverages industry involved in production, distribution, scientific research, training, and other alcohol industry related elements so as to promote the growth and sustainability of the industry. WABA was formed in Guiyang, China on the initiative of more than 300 alcohol industry related associations and organizations representing 60 countries. The purpose of the Alliance is to actively promote the development, growth, and sustainability of the global alcohol beverage industry. In order to achieve this, WABA will build a common platform for sharing innovation, culture, and resources; jointly release financial indexes concerning the global alcohol industry; publish authoritative and guiding documents; and create a large unifying database and data analytical model so as to support existing and emerging members of the alcohol industry. WABA will make efforts in many aspects such as guiding authoritative policy information compilation and issuance, alcohol industry personnel system, construction and technical innovation, thus creating a communication platform for world alcohol beverage culture to promote the wine industrial development in the world. In addition to research and training WABA is pushing for a greater integration of the global alcohol industry within electronic platforms. The Alliance believes that a more integrated industry requires a common database to share knowledge as well as a common, trusted, and advanced e-commerce platform to perform transactions. To achieve this the Alliance is working closely with the city of Guiyang, China to utilize their cloud computing databases as well as their expert knowledge and experience.
