Founded in New York, It Takes A Village Africa (ITAVA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sustainable solutions in education, healthcare, and agriculture to underserved communities in Africa. Our flagship initiative is the S.T.E.A.M.(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education program, currently serving primary school students in Central Monrovia, Liberia. ITAVA supports over 900 children across five schools, focusing on breaking the cycle of poverty through access to quality education. In addition to donor support, the organization sustains itself through over 800 acres of farmland throughout Liberia, which provides vital resources for both students and staff. Special Emergency Activity To Restore Children's Hope
The Special Emergency Activity to Restore Children’s Hope (SEARCH) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded on July 22, in Sanniquellie, northern Liberia, to promote and protect the rights of children affected by the Liberian civil war. SEARCH is committed to providing advocacy for, and direct social protection services to, women and children; carry out family tracing, referral, resettlement, and provision of foster care, education, adoption and community health services in Liberia. Over the years, SEARCH has touched the lives of thousands of women, children, and youths (including populations of concern such as refugees and persons with disabilities) across Liberia through provision of emergency relief, community health services, educational assistance, economic livelihoods, and legal assistance. As a national organization with sub offices in counties of Liberia, SEARCH provides local and national fora where members exchange ideas, be informed about topical issues and create skilful opportunities. SEARCH acts as a lobby group on children’s and women’s issues, highlighting and publicizing not only the barriers to success that may still exist but also many opportunities available to women and children in Liberia and the world over. Through strategic partnerships with donors, other non-profit organizations, governments, leading companies and schools, it provides on-going events and opportunities to advance the interests and needs of children and women. The word ‘emergency’ in the name of the organization has a wider meaning to include every harmful situation affecting women, children, and people with disabilities. Past Projects: National Academic Technology Mobile Training: It was designed to integrate the Liberian education system with technology. Moreover, to teach students how to use their smart phone to access educational materials on the internet. high school students benefited from this training across Montserrado County. This project cost Excellent Award for high schools’ students: It was designed to motivate and inspire students in pursuing excellent in their works. September 2019 – 2020 Academic Year- We distributed school Materials to 100 needy students at 8 different schools during our back to school initiative. District 4, 5, 2, and 3 of Montserrado County is where those schools are located. September 2018 – 2019 Academic Year. We distributed school Materials to 60 students from (4) different schools during our back to school initiative. District 4 and 3 is where those schools are located. 2018 Hosted the International Girls in ICT day on April 26, 2018 wherein many girls created the passion for Information Communication

Generation Youth Corps
The Generation Youth Corps-GYC was founded in January 2020 to fill the gap of youth empowerment in Liberia. GYC is a registered Liberian youth-led humanitarian organization that focused on youth empowerment through peer learning, capacity building, and mentorship. We engage, inspire, and motivate young people to be that change agent within their communities. All our peers learning, capacity building, and mentorship training sessions are done freely and open to all members of the targeted communities. We worked closely with young university graduate/ senior students with pending graduation within one year. These volunteers are trained and deployed at various schools within the country as mentors and teacher assistants for one year. They will be empowered from their experiences as mentors and volunteers, therefore, will be more confident in jobs search. Our targeted population, for now, are young women, girls, and boys from ages 10 to 35. For sustainability, we specialized in Research (project data analysis and report writing, data collections, and designed of research tools through a digital platform such as programming of tablets using SurveyCto, SurveyToGo, Kobo collect, ODK, etc.), organizational Monitoring and evaluation system strengthening, and Financial System strengthening. We applied the Justice Based Approached in all our programs designed. We do believe in the Fridah Fund's Happiness Manifesto which is feminist Activists approached.
