The Burundi Alumni Association (BAA) comes to prioritize its main focuses to bring about change in the community. The aim is to mobilize, connect and engage all exchange alumni and give them the spotlight and platform they need while giving back to their people around them and bringing about positive change in their communities. The establishment of a studio and the availability of BAA office to serve Alumni and give them a platform to empower others and disseminate knowledge, information and skills about Exchange programs are some of the examples of how the organization aims at engaging all its members, highlighting their contribution in the socio-economic development of Burundi. Greening Burundi
Greening Burundi is a non-profit organization of young volunteers that implements climate actions and environmental Education programs in schools and the community. It leads the implementation of several activities related to the maintenance of healthy living environments, intense reforestation activities, Education and awareness sessions/Education on the environment protection (Greening School Clubs and Green Thursdays programs) and the Prevent against environmental Pollution. By reforesting degraded Forest Reserves, the project makes a valuable contribution to the restoration of Burundi forests and their ecosystem services: conservation of biodiversity, regulation of water regimes, and maintenance of soil quality and limitation of erosion, fire protection and climate regulation. Vision: The vision of GB for Burundi and Africa is to preserve existent forests, Create new afforestation, increase the forest cover and contribute to the eradication of poverty, food insecurity and fostering a lasting high quality of life for community parish while safeguarding long-term environmental sustainability. Mission: The Greening Burundi mission is to enhance the protection of the environment, fight against climate change and its impacts by planting millions of trees (planting trees for healthier populations and better environment.)

L’Organisation a pour but de contribuer à la promotion du développement intégral de la population, et cela dans une optique chrétienne de promotion intégrale de tous, sans discrimination aucune. Pour mener à bon termes ses activités, ODEDIM-CARITAS MUYINGA fait parti du « Réseau L’ODEDIM-CARITAS MUYINGA » constitué actuellement de 8 membres : le BDDB (Bubanza), l’ODDBU (Bujumbura), le COPED Régional (Bururi), l’ODAG (Gitega), ODEDIM-CARITAS MUYINGA (Muyinga), le BADEC (Ngozi), la SOPRAD (Ruyigi), l’ODECO (RUTANA).

Great Lakes Peacebuilding Institute
GLPI is a bilingual (French and English) training institute that offers high quality intensive courses on peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and trauma healing to peacebuilders coming from the African Great Lakes Region, especially Rwanda, Burundi, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The peacebuilders are those who are involved in peacebuilding and conflict transformation which are done in different capacities, at different levels, and with different sectors and communities. Founded in 2004, GLPI offers several course modules and training sessions facilitated by a roster of experienced international faculty who have wide range of peacebuilding skills and experiences and who apply participatory, interactive, and creative teaching methods to stimulate meaningful learning and listening environments among the participants. GLPI envisions to make the African Great Lakes Region a space where a culture of sustainable, solidarity and harmonious development reigns. In order to achieve this vision, GLPI commits in a mission to bring the peacebuilders in the region closer together by strengthening their capacities, sharing best practices, and exchanging experiences through theoretical and practical courses in the spirit of building a supportive and active networks of change agents. Specifically, GLPI aims to realize the following objectives: • Promote high quality trainings for peacebuilders in the African Great Lakes Region; • Create platforms for exchanging and sharing experiences and ideas about peacebuilding in the region; and • Build a network of peacebuilders in the region.

Safe Inclusion une ONG spécialisée dans la promotion de l'inclusion socio-économique des personnes vulnérables. c'est une ONG d’origine burundaise fondée sur les valeurs de justice sociale, d’espoir, d’équité, d’égalité, de dignité, d’inclusion et de durabilité dont la mission consiste à promouvoir le bien-être des personnes vulnérables pour rendre réelle leur inclusion socio-économique dans le but de créer des conditions favorables à l’émergence des communautés justes, prospères et pacifiques. SAFE INCLUSION opère dans cinq domaines d’intervention, à savoir la Consolidation de la paix et la cohésion sociale, la nutrition et la sécurité alimentaire, l’entrepreneuriat, la promotion de l’industrie agroalimentaire ainsi que la santé maternelle et infantile. Elle a été fondée à la suite de la problématique ci-après : l’exclusion des personnes vulnérables, à l’instar des femmes, des jeunes, des enfants et autres, du circuit socio-économique au sein des communautés. A l’origine de cette situation, il y a -LA FAIBLE CONTRIBUTION DES PERSONNES VULNÉRABLES DANS LA PROMOTION DE LA PAIX ET LA COHÉSION SOCIALE -LE NON ACCÈS DES PERSONNES VULNÉRABLES À LA SÉCURITÉ ALIMENTAIRE -LA FAIBLE RÉSILIENCE SOCIO-ÉCONOMIQUE DES FEMMES ET DES JEUNES À CAUSE DE LA PAUVRETÉ -L’INCAPACITÉ DES PERSONNES VULNÉRABLES À TRANSFORMER LES PRODUITS ALIMENTAIRES À LEUR DISPOSITION -LE NON ACCÈS DES PERSONNES VULNÉRABLES À UNE BONNE SANTÉ MATERNELLE ET INFANTILE. Qui plus est, elles se heurtent à une insuffisance d’interventions gouvernementales par faute de moyens financiers conséquents. En corolaire, des milliers de gens vivent dans la misère et mènent une vie indécente hantés par la pauvreté, l’exclusion et les conflits communautaires. C’est pour contribuer à la résolution de cette problématique que l’ONG SAFE INCLUSION a été mise en place. Ainsi se veut-elle être une ONG compétente en matière de promotion de l’inclusion socio-économique des personnes vulnérables au sein de leurs communautés.
