ABOUT WORLD VISION SWAZILAND World Vision Swaziland (WVS) began in 1992 as an emergency relief organization before transitioning to transformational development and advocacy for the most vulnerable children, people and communities in Swaziland. With a high HIV prevalence, Swaziland has a significant proportion of children without parents (orphans) who generally tend to have poorer health, nutrition and education outcomes. WVS supports broader government initiatives targeted at these and other vulnerable children, and further works with traditional structures existing within the communities, to ensure sustainability. Registered children World Vision Swaziland is supporting 62,930 Registered Children (RC) in the 20 Area Programs it works in, across the country, namely: Ekukhanyeni, Gege, Lubulini, Macudvulwini, Madlangemphisi, Mahlalini, Maphalaleni, Mhlosheni, Maseyisini, Matsanjeni, Mkhiweni, Mpolonjeni, Mtsambama, Ngudzeni, Shewula, Shiselweni, Shiselweni 1, Sithobela, Somntongo and Velezizweni. World Vision’s Approaches World Vision Swaziland programming framework (2016 – 2020) focuses on three Technical Approaches; Livelihoods and Resilience (L&R), Health and Education, and these are implemented through five Technical Programs; Economic Development and Agriculture, Water and Sanitation (WASH), Health, HIV/ AIDS and Nutrition (HHN), Education and Advocacy, Child Protection and Christian Commitment.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries - Eswatini Ncm-E

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is a non-profit Organization that works with Orphans and Vulnerable Children(OVC), Adolescents and Young Women(AGYW) to raise awareness and fight on HIV/AIDS. The organization established Development Centers for Children aged from 0 and 6 which is still an ongoing project. The centers also provide Early Childhood Development classes in preparation for primary school and a total of 258 children have been supported. Eighteen (18) Care Supporters were capacitated on conducting home visits to offer support, identification of (OVCs) in communities and offer continual support and monitoring. This has been done since 2010 to 2018. The programme offers formal and informal education, skills training, after school programme meant to help the children to progress in their education. Support has also been provided to OVCs with their educational needs, that is, paying school tuition fees and buying of school uniforms. The project promotes and encourages healthy living through the supply of nutritional meals that are provided 4 times annually together with other basic items like toiletry. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Eswatini(NCM-E) promotes HIV/AIDS prevention among OVCs. OVCs on ART are provided with transport fees to reach health facilities for their re-fills. Working with community care supporters, the project built capacity for families and communities on the provision of a healthy and conducive environment for the development of children. Through her sponsorship programme, NCM-E has supported 158 school going pupils at primary and high schools.

Palms for Life Fund (PFL) is a New York City-based family nonprofit with an extensive track record of ongoing international projects to break the cycle of poverty and marginalization, in Africa, Latin America and Asia via promoting access to education, food, water and sanitation. Since its inception in 2006, Palms for Life has impacted the lives of thousands of people around the world. Today, Palms for Life is a thriving nonprofit with multi-million dollar grant-programs. We operate in a select number of countries in Africa and Latin America. Palms for Life was founded in 2006 by Hannah Laufer-Rottman and co-founded by Maayan Laufer. Ms. Laufer-Rottman has spent her entire career helping people living in poverty improve their livelihoods. Palms for Life’s headquarters are based in New York City; three local Palms for Life organisations have been established in Botswana, Eswatini and Namibia. Palms for Life Fund’s mission is to advocate for and support the creation of infrastructure that provides access to education, food, water and sanitation for vulnerable communities worldwide. We operate from a basic human rights perspective – because access to safe and sustainable food, water, sanitation and education is a right not just a humanitarian issue. An important part of Palms for Life’s mission is to raise awareness about food. Through the Ceres Food Film Festival, documentary films about food, hunger, environment, sustainable food production, local food solutions, etc. are curated and shared with audiences worldwide. The screenings and panel discussions are intended to educate, inform, inspire open discussions and promote actions.

Our mission is to partner with indigenous leaders to provide short-term aid and long-term relief to the orphans and AIDS victims in the Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) through community development consisting of building and running health clinics and schools, developing clean water sources, and providing resources to start small businesses.

At Enactus, we believe investing in students who take entrepreneurial action for others creates a better world for us all. Our students globally are entrepreneurial, values-driven social innovators across 1,730 campuses in 36 countries, positively impacting the lives of 1.3 million people each year. Guided by educators and supported by business leaders, teams of students conduct needs assessments in their community, identify potential solutions to complex issues and implement community impact projects. This results in communities benefiting from collaboration and fresh innovation, plus students gain the valuable experience to advance their personal and professional lives. As in business, we believe that competition encourages innovation. For Enactus, this means more lives impacted every day. An annual series of regional and national competitions showcases Enactus teams’ impact, evaluated by global business leaders. National champion teams advance to the prestigious Enactus World Cup for competition, collaboration and celebration. Enactus Eswatini currently has 14 teams in 10 tertiary institutions countrywide, comprising over 500 students committed to making a positive change not only in their lives, but in the lives of the communities they impact. In 2020, 15/23 team projects were successfully implemented with 1130 beneficiaries impacted. Our Enactus Eswatini teams commit their projects annually to pursuing and achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations.

Govuka

Adolescents in Eswatini who engage in sex with older men (also known as “blessers”) are 5x more likely to be infected with HIV and to fall pregnant. Govuka is a non-profit organisation that provides targeted, relatable life skills resources to educate adolescent girls who are unaware of the risks associated with intergenerational relationships. Govuka’s immediate aim is to reach 20 girls between ages 11-19 in the Kingdom of Eswatini by 2026. One of our key strategies for achieving this goal is through a peer-driven curriculum.

Super Buddies Club

Super Buddies Club, a non-profit making organization established in 2006 and officially registered by the government of Swaziland in 2008 to contribute to the reduction of HIV incidence among adolescents and young people through increased information on HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy access to HIV/SRH services among adolescents and youth in Swaziland. This is done through a peer education programme that is implemented in schools and communities. Conduct dialogues in communities with parents and caregivers to address ASRH issues and Human rights. Super Buddies Club had also introduced a youth skill centre the Ngihlomise youth skill academy to address the youth unemployment. Vision To use innovative approaches in addressing adolescents and youth issues that make them vulnerable to HIV, violence and exploitation. Antidote Culture Foundation

The Antidote Culture Foundation is an ambitious, yet timely, intervention to the stunted growth of Eswatini’s Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI). Our vision is of a thriving cultural-creative economy that contributes to the eradication of youth unemployment and an improved quality of life in Eswatini. We aim to realise this by supporting artistic development, developing networks between local and international cultural practitioners, educating on and advocating for Intellectual Property Rights and improving the visibility, distribution and accessibility of cultural-creative products and services.

Alliance Francaise De Mbabane

Founded in 1986, the Alliance Française de Mbabane is the only cultural centre and language school in the country. The Alliance Française de Mbabane is a Franco-Swazi non-profit organisation. The Alliance Française, has three missions aiming at facilitating cultural dialogue and growth of linguistic diversity: Teach French language Promote French and francophone culture Promote siSwati language and Swazi culture. Alliance Française de Mbabane is one of the first partners of the Bushfire Festival. AFM produced Bholoja’s first album, supported the Rooted Soulz and the Pelepele. Under European Union patronage, the SIFTPA and AFM gave Swazi film makers their first platform enabling the production of fantastic short movies, that are now available in our library. A cosy Internet Cafe located on the premises of AFM makes it a great place to socialize, learn French, study for exams, or simply enjoy some delicious French and Swazi inspired cuisine in a French ambiance. The Alliance Française de Mbabane offers multi-media libraries focusing on France and contemporary Francophone culture. For E100 per year, the library gives access to more than 5 documents for adults, teenagers and children: books, comics, CD’s and DVD. This membership also gives access to Culturetheque, the digital library of the French cultural network abroad, to catch up on the latest editions of your favorite magazines
