Our patented packaging for flowers use frames which divert the load of upper boxes from the walls of the box to the frames, thus enabling the use of light 3 ply instead of heavy 5 ply boards without compromising the resilience of the box or impairing the quality of the flowers. In addition when using Cargolite, no SFKs are needed to protect the bunches in the box. All these factors combined reduce the carbon foot print by 18% compared to standard boxes used in the flower and herb industries. Our Cargolite CL box uses plastic frames made from 100% recycled PP collected in Kenya which are sold back to recyclers in countries like Switzerland, England, Norway and Holland. Unlike other types of plastics used in the bottling and food industries which have a notorious impact on the environment, the PP we use is of high quality and purity and is a sought after raw material, well paid for by recyclers and plastic manufacturers. Cargolite packages have a 0% waste. Cargolite packages are currently manufactured in Kenya and Ecuador and soon to be available in additional countries.
