Po prevzatí obecných lesov do užívania vlastníkmi v roku 1998 a následne ich potrebného obhospodarovania, prevzala spoločnosť Forest Co. V roku odovzdané obecné lesy do užívania. Okrem zabezpečenia komplexnej starostlivosti o uvedené lesy, Forest Co. zabezpečuje pre iné subjekty v okolí Myjavy odborný dozor na základe osvedčenia OLH. Petrebu sadbového materiálu pre lesy, ktoré má Forest Co. v užívaní, ale aj pre iné subjekty, zabezpečuje Forest Co. z vlastnej lesnej škôlky, ktorá bola zriadená v roku 2004. Naším ďalším cieľom je, zabezpečiť v prenajatých ale aj v ostatných lesoch v okolí komplexné služby v rámci ťažbových ako aj pestovných prác, vmaximálnom množstve spracovanie drevnej hmoty, ktorá sa z uvedených lesov vyťaží. Pritom však nesmieme zabúdať na ostatné funkcie, ktoré les v tomto regióne plní.

Činnosť podniku zahŕňa predovšetkým zakladanie a pestovanie lesných porastov, ich následnú výchovu a ochranu až po ťažbu a následnú obnovu- Celá výmera lesných porastov je certifikovaná podľa schém PEFC a čiastočne FSC- Hospodárime na výmere takmer 880 tisíc ha lesných pozemkov na celom Slovensku- Sme významným aktérom na trhu s drevom, dodávky dreva predstavujú cca 50% z celkového objemu obhospodarovateľov v rámci SR- Zamestnávame viac ako 3 400 zamestnancov v rámci celého Slovenska- V súčasnosti podnik tvorí 12 organizačných zložiek naprieč celým Slovenskom a dve špecializované organizačné zložky- Pri obhospodarovaní lesných pozemkov sa uplatňuje aj tzv. prírode blízke obhospodarovanie lesov. Lesnatosť na Slovensku v súčasnosti predstavuje viac ako 41% rozlohy našej krajiny. Za posledných 170 rokov sa výmera lesných porastov zvýšila o viac ako 13%.
