Founded by Fezhah Maznan and Shridar Mani in 2021, The Public Space Pte. Ltd. is a production house with an arts-centred vision, designing experiences that bring people, stories, and ideas together. The company operates currently by providing producing services for artists and arts companies who have been commissioned by presenters, or who are looking for a partner to manage their productions for them. The company currently operates with its two co-founders, Shridar Mani and Fezhah Maznan, as directors and producers, and they work on a commission basis per production.

The Theatre Practice Ltd

The Theatre Practice (Practice) is Singapore’s longest-standing professional bilingual theatre institution. Artist-driven and deeply progressive, Practice strives to be an arts space in Singapore that consciously nurtures and empowers people who care about humanity. Over the past 55 years, we have developed and presented over 350 productions that aim to reflect the richness and complexities of Singapore’s diverse cultures. Today, we carry on the work of our visionary co-founders and cultural medallion recipients, Kuo Pao Kun and Goh Lay Kuan. Under the helm of current Artistic Director Kuo Jian Hong, Practice continues to shape Singapore’s cultural landscape as the definitive voice in Singapore theatre. Jian Hong is deeply influenced by the importance of play in art-making and under her leadership, Practice has become the embodiment of the irrepressible spirit and fearless experimentation of play. As pioneers in Arts Education in Singapore, Practice has been instrumental both in nurturing leaders in the Singapore arts scene, and inculcating a love for the arts in generations of Singapore youth. Since its inception in 1965, nurturing and empowering people has been the core of Practice. Outstanding individuals whom we have mentored include actress and two-time Golden Horse Award winner Yeo Yann Yann, Chairman and CEO of Creative Technology Sim Wong Hoo, and jazz vocalist, musical theatre actress, TV host and 2nd runner-up in Sing! China, Joanna Dong. The Theatre Practice is supported by the National Arts Council under the Major Company Scheme. Practice is also an Institution of Public Character and a member of the Singapore Chinese Language Theatre Alliance.

Nine Years Theatre is a Singapore Mandarin theatre company that loves to dream up game-changing ways to do things. Since the beginning, we have insisted on the hard route of investing time and effort in training our actors, so that we can create works that feel integrated because of consistency and grounded-ness. We believe in entertaining our audience, but in ways that are honest and thoughtful. We present Mandarin productions with English surtitles. They are often described as culturally challenging, emotionally universal and full of care for humanity. Our works have therefore always allowed us to connect with audiences from all backgrounds. We like to busy ourselves with ideas on how to engage our audiences beyond performances, and to share our knowledge with the larger community. We are also very interested in finding ways to dialogue with local and international counterparts through difficult but meaningful collaboration.

Conundrum Theatre, Singapore

Conundrum Theatre provides unique, nurturing and life changing projects for young people and emerging artists. Established by award-winning Theatre Makers, Claire Glenn and Anthony Kelly, Conundrum seeks to enrich the lives of young and emerging artists through direct engagement in theatre making and performance. Based in Singapore, Conundrum Theatre provides workshops in a variety of theatre making techniques and is committed to creating meaningful and inclusive arts experiences for artists of all ages and from all walks of life. Our workshops develop all aspects of performance and theatre making craft, and young people who work with Conundrum not only learn how to become better actors, they also find their place to belong, develop self-confidence, build resilience, acquire social awareness, learn how to collaborate and work as an ensemble, cultivate empathy and respect for others, increase trust, and have lots of fun while doing it. We aim to create professional quality productions and to provide experiences for young and emerging artists that nobody else is offering in Singapore, such as taking shows overseas, running masterclasses by experts from anywhere in the world, and allowing young people to be the co-creators and collaborators in the work they create. Previous works include, The Aftertime by Ben Brooker (Singapore, 2021), I Still Have No Friends by Alby T Grace (Singapore, 2022), The Evolution Revolution by Kimberly Sim (Singapore and Adelaide Fringe, 2023) Chaos by Laura Lomas (Singapore, 2023), and Motormouth & Suckface: An Apocalyptic Love Story by Anthony Crawley (Singapore, 2023). Our work is either devised or has never been presented in Singapore before. All our productions feature complex characters, elements of clowning, choreography, stunt work, movement and multi-media. We offer workshops, projects, corporate training, acting coaching, artist residencies, productions and masterclasses.

The Ballet Academy Pte Ltd

The Ballet Academy is an accredited Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet school that offers a wide range of programmes for both children and adults. The studio provides RAD classical ballet syllabus and vocational grades for all ages and abilities including teens, adults, and even senior dancers (ages 55+). It also provides non-syllabus adult ballet classes and private lessons. Children as young as 2.5 years can start their journey here, beginning with "Dance To Your Tune" classes that aim to develop your child's physical skills, creativity, expression and musicality. Other programmes offered include "Silver Swans"(a slow pace class specially designed for older adult beginners) and "One Step At A Time"(a creative movement programme for children with special needs).
