Since 1984, TADA!’s mission is to provide young people from all different backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to be creative, learn, and think differently. Our vision is for all young people to grow up feeling successful, creative, confident, accepted, and accepting of themselves. Through the ability of people learning to express themselves well we can break down barriers of racism and inequality and create positive, active citizens. TADA! is a unique Drama Desk award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth theater that produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. TADA! offers a free, year-round, pre-professional training & youth development program for the Resident Youth Ensemble (ages 8-18); musical theater classes/camps for the public; as well as musical theater residencies in NYC schools and community centers. Uniting Voices Chicago
Uniting Voices Chicago (Josephine Lee, President) is a nonprofit organization that inspires and unites youth from diverse backgrounds to become global leaders through music. Founded in Hyde Park at the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement in 1956, Uniting Voices Chicago (formerly Chicago Children’s Choir) has grown from one choir into a vast network of in-school and after-school programs serving thousands of students across the city of Chicago. The organization has impacted the lives of more than diverse youth throughout its 65-year history. Since its founding, the choir has focused on building programs that reflect the racial and economic diversity of Chicago. The majority of youth served are from low-to-moderate income homes and participate completely free of charge. All singers in Uniting Voices Chicago programs receive some level of subsidy. High school seniors enrolled in Uniting Voices Chicago have a 100% graduation and college acceptance rate, becoming global ambassadors who carry on our core values in a wide array of professional fields. Under the leadership of President and Artistic Director Josephine Lee, Uniting Voices Chicago has achieved new heights and revolutionized the youth choral arts through innovative creative partnerships and new artistic endeavors. Recent projects include the world-premiere hip-hop musical Long Way Home, written and directed by the renowned Q Brothers Collective, which played to five sold-out houses in 2018; performance in a new staged production of Leonard Bernstein’s MASS under the direction of Marin Alsop in July 2018 with two frequent creative partners: the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Ravinia Festival; and collaboration on Chance the Rapper’s GRAMMY winning 2016 mixtape Coloring Book. 3girls Theatre Company
3GT develops, promotes and presents new plays by women playwrights. Founded in 2011 for the express purpose of challenging the cultural bias that favors men’s voices over women’s on stage, we're proud to be one of very few companies in the nation that exclusively support women playwrights and their work. 3GT started with a single project, the Salon Reading Series: monthly staged readings of new plays written by a small cohort of seasoned Bay Area women playwrights “in their prime.” Under the leadership of Executive Artistic Director and Founding Playwright AJ Baker, 3GT has grown into a company that offers development and production opportunities to an ever-expanding group of women theatre-makers who reflect the uniqueness and diversity of our region. Alaska Center For The Performing Arts
OUR MISSION: To Live & Love the Arts OUR PURPOSE: The PAC is the place to be. A gathering place where all are welcome to share the arts as a passion and way of life. Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Inc.(the PAC), a non-profit organization contracted by the Municipality of Anchorage, manages the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts facility. The Center schedules space use in the building, provides production management and technical expertise, sells tickets, and provides services for more than patrons who enjoy the facility annually. The facility itself is owned by the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA). The PAC's contract with the MOA provides approximately half of the operating revenue required to run this state of the art facility. The remaining half is raised through rentals, ticket services, and contributions from generous corporations and individuals. The PAC has a volunteer 31-member Board of Directors comprised of community leaders, and representatives from each resident company. The staff of the Center is here for you, whether you are a patron or client looking to rent the facility. One of the Center's main functions is to bring community together. As a downtown landmark the facility is not only a beautiful structure against the skyline, but also a place where people come to have life-changing experiences, every day! The Center is dedicated to providing opportunities for the community to enjoy this facility through various programs and community events. American Contemporary Ballet
American Contemporary Ballet, based in Los Angeles, was founded to produce original contemporary classical ballets by Jones, and to present masterworks that exemplify dance as a musical art form. The company performs over 60 shows each season, spanning a repertory which includes works by George Balanchine, Fred Astaire, Lincoln Jones, and reconstructions of the seminal works of ballet's history. ACB is the only ballet company in Los Angeles to perform exclusively to live music, played by some of the city’s finest classical musicians.
