National Performance Network
The National Performance Network and Visual Artists Network (NPN/VAN) believes artists and arts organizations are essential for creating a just and sustainable world, and we believe communities deserve broad access to art and culture that reflect their own experiences and inform about the experiences of others. We seek to provide risk-taking performing and visual artists with the resources needed to develop and tour new work, to ensure arts leaders have the skills and opportunities to be change-makers in the arts presenting field, and to influence cultural policy for more just and artist-centered practices. Through our network of more than 100 arts organizations in the U.S, Latin America, and Asia, we are committed to investing in artists whose voices and visions illuminate and shape the world around us and to those organizations that take risks in showcasing such artists. This intentional network of active and engaged partners fosters deeper collaboration among presenters, greater mobility for artists, and a stronger collective voice for our sector. By focusing on a limited number of partner organizations, NPN/VAN’s support and services are more strategically designed, effectively distributed, and successfully leveraged. Since its inception, NPN/VAN has reached 3.5 million audience members and supported 4,700 artist projects employing over artists. We have provided $26 million in direct support to artists and presenters and leveraged another $44 million, resulting in $70 million in support for artists and arts organizations.

National Philharmonic
Led by dynamic Music Director and Conductor Piotr Gajewski, the National Philharmonic is known for performances that are “powerful” and “thrilling” (The Washington Post). Celebrated for showcasing world-renowned guest artists in time-honored symphonic masterpieces, National Philharmonic continuously strives to create remarkable educational opportunities in the community while promoting diversity and representation in classical music. National Philharmonic was formed in 1985 when Piotr Gajewski founded the Montgomery Chamber Orchestra, which later became the National Chamber Orchestra, presenting a season of five concerts in that inaugural year. In anticipation of the opening of The Music Center at Strathmore, Gajewski determined that expanded programming would be necessary to perform at such a large venue. He began a strategically planned merger of National Chamber Orchestra and Masterworks Chorus. This merger took place on July 1, 2003, and resulted in the formation of the National Philharmonic. Taking up residence at Strathmore in 2005, National Philharmonic was selected to “fine-tune” the hall by performing a series of concerts to all second-grade students in Montgomery County at no charge. This has become an annual tradition that is maintained to this day. The National Philharmonic is an accessible, enriching component in the Greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area, believing that music has the power to spark imagination and shape the world around us. As the only organization with a united orchestra and chorus in the region, over the years, National Philharmonic has expanded its footprint with year-round masterclasses along with Summer String and Summer Chorale Institutes for youth; armed services programs and partnerships with community organizations. In addition to these programs, National Philharmonic fosters a love of music to young people across the region by offering free admission to all youth age 7 to 17-years-old.

New Century Chamber Orchestra
The New Century Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1992, looks for fresh, exciting ways to present classical music in the San Francisco Bay Area by combining performances of extraordinary quality with innovative programming. World-renowned violin soloist, chamber musician and recording artist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg was appointed Music Director and Concertmaster of the 17-member string ensemble in January 2008. New Century, comprised of local musicians as well as those who travel from across the U.S. and Europe to perform in the Bay Area together, performs without a conductor. Musical decisions are made collaboratively, resulting in an enhanced level of commitment on the part of the musicians to concerts of remarkable precision, passion and power. As part of its dedication to the future of music and to the community, New Century provides violin lessons to underserved students in Marin City and San Rafael’s Canal District. String quartets of New Century members give intimate classroom performances in Bay Area elementary schools. The orchestra has released four compact discs. Written With The Heart’s Blood, a recording of Shostakovich works, was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1997. The orchestra has also recorded the music of 20th century Swiss composer Frank Martin, Argentine composers Alberto Williams and Alberto Ginastera, and New Century violist Kurt Rohde.

The New Jersey Repertory Company was founded in 1997 by SuzAnne and Gabor Barabas. Its current central headquarters is the Lumia Theater located on lower Broadway in Long Branch. The theater's mission is to develop and produce new plays and to make a lasting contribution to the American Stage. Over two decades NJ Rep has produced 140 plays of which 125 have been world premieres. The theater has the additional distinction of having had many of its plays produced by other theaters around the country totaling over 200 subsequent productions in the U.S. and overseas. In 2012 and 2018 NJ Rep was the recipient of a National Theater Company Grant from the American Theater Wing that sponsors the annual Tony Awards for Broadway in recognition of its contribution to the repertoire of the American Stage. Only seven theaters have had this distinction. In addition, the theater has presented over 400 developmental readings as well as introduced 136 new works through its Theatre Brut Short-Play Festivals that focus on visionary and avant-garde works. In May 2016, NJ Rep acquired a new property, a square foot school situated on 2 ½ acres and located just five minutes from its Main Stage Lumia Theater and two blocks from the Jersey Shore. The theater plans on gradually transforming the school in stages into a cultural center that will house additional performance spaces, an art cinema, an art museum, a rooftop café, an arts education wing, and residences for out-of-town actors and playwrights. When completed, the center will present a wide array of programs in acting, playwriting, art, sculpture, poetry, music, and photography and will serve as a catalyst for economic development and as the foundation for the cultural renaissance of the community.
